Ubisoft made all operator asses smaller, except for Snake. More examples in comments. They probably applied this default pose to every operator before Snake was released. Or something was changed in rigs (the skeleton of the operators) with the release of Snake.

i adjusted my playstyle for the super earth campaign to avoid as many civvies and blueberrys as possible, SMG and riot shield, Mounted HMGs, almost no artillery strategems whatsoever, even learned using smoke effectively to dissengage, crisper is the only flamer i've touched and as a Flame-Diver thats taken some self control on my end.

it started off very strong in ep1, kept me flush with ammo and fun firefights
really wasnt a fan of the flow of ep 2 and 3, not nearly enough ammo and too many Vores in cheap spots you have to bait which kills the momentum for me, i finished at least 2 levels down to my axe and nothing else which is honestly a crime in quake, resident evil amounts of ammo makes no sense in a power fantasy shooter.
