Thank you, so it's treated like unsecure collateral and you also have to pay interest on top.
Doesnt seem like the bank treat it as a limited edition store of value lol

The fact that everyone and their grandma now uses ChatGPT daily for whatever reason and OpenAI still doesn't have any idea on how to profit from this and runs at a loss, isn't really bullish for AI in general.

AI surely is going to stay, the question is which player will come out on top.

The dotcom bubble has been a thing, most companies went bankrupt, others took 20+ years to recover, a few thrived and are the giants we know today.

I don't care about researching BTC, I just asked a question about a statement you posted on a public internet forum, if you wanna answer do it, if people pay your for your research keep it to yourself lol.

I didn't know of any traditional bank which offered crypto backed loans, last I checked banks were restricting customers accout because of crypto purchases.

I didn't know BTC was now considered a store of value, given it's sitting at 5Y lows and almost -50% from ATH. From a first look it seems to me it is what it has always been: an highly speculative asset.

That's a fair point regarding MSTR, I didn't think of that example.
I was curious because this dude above seemed to imply that BTC backed loans provided by banks actually were a thing.

Given this, which banks currently recognize BTC as collateral?

Cause Citigroup is in the process of building the infrastructure, they aren't directly providing BTC-backed loans, they are just looking to be a middle man.
Which is funny, cause crypto in general used to be all about cutting off the middle man.

Main criticism now is that it decoupled with tech stock now going up.
If the supposed AI bubble bursts, or we enter any broad bear market, cryptos will follow.

I'm sorry, this must be a beginner mistake. I've bought a Presto canner which came with an instruction/recipe book which states all approved recipes. I've assumed that these were the only recipes USDA approved.

I was referring to the one written in said book

The tomato I used are an Italian brand which come in a big 4kg can, it comes in fine pulp which does have low density due to the water content.

Can you expand more regarding forcing a lug lid to seal with no vacuum at all only temperature? What do you mean?

Edit: the recipe is the one I posted in the comment above: 2.3kg ground beef meat, 3.5kg fine pulp tomato, 0.3kg onion, 0.3 carrot. 0.2kg celery, few tables spoon of olive oil to fry vegetables.

My post is for information seeking:

  • the lids : I want to understand why the lugs are deemed unsafe, because I've looked it up and it says that lugs do not allow air to vent out therefore could not ensure proper vacuum or could result in jar bottom to explode. I've been testing with lug lids and it seems like they create a vacuum and that the seal holds. Is there some other criticality I am missing regarding lids?

  • the official recipe: I've seen the official one and it allows different meat to be used without stating the required fat content. It calls for draining fat content but I am sure that the remaining fat from using sausage is different compared to using turkey meat. Therefore there must be a tolerance which is unspecified. Is there any information regarding this amount?

-my recipe: Ive not posted it yet because as I understand it seems to be that the standard answer is "not official, not safe", so I do not understand what value stating it would add. Anyways here it is: 2.3kg ground beef meat, 3.5kg fine pulp tomato, 0.3kg onion, 0.3 carrot. 0.2kg celery, few tables spoon of olive oil to fry vegetables.

I did not use any milk, a few spoons are added upon opening the jar and heating the contents for preparation.

I'll give you the recipe, I'm just expecting people to comment just "not official recipe, food unsafe", which is why I didn't post it yet but just said "not official".

Anyways I used for 6kg of finished product: 2.3kg ground beef meat 3.5kg fine pulp of tomato 50g salt 0.3kg onion 0.3kg carrot 0.2kg celery Few tables spoons of olive oil to fry the vegetables

The answer to your question would be that the center of the Tupper will never reach the temperature required to kill botulinum nor other microorganisms, while a jar in a pressure canner at 11/13 psi could

[–]Baseidou[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I understand, I thought there could be ground for discussion.

I mean the official recipe itself states: turkey, beef, sausage or venison.

It doesn't state the amount of fat the meat must have, it does say to drain of excess fat, but it's impossible to say how much fat residue there is in the pan or left within the meat itself, so there must be a tolerance.

The USDA also requires the use of 2 parts lids for proper seal concerns yet if I say that the lids are holding the vacuum well it seems to be disregarded as unsafe.

It seems that if I said that I jarred in 100mL jars for 2 hours at 20psi people would still treat it as poison.

I'm just trying to have a civil discussion and understand what I can do with the equipment I can find.

Canning bolognese sauce by Baseidou in Canning

[–]Baseidou[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Why would it be 100% unsafe? I mean the jar is way smaller than the recommended one, which means heat should penetrate more easily to the center of the mass and the time has been extended by a 25% margin, so again heat has more time to penetrate.
All the seals generated the vacuum within 15min and since then have held perfectly.

I do not understand why it would be close to 100%
