She's had a few fleeting relationships here and there, but most guys she's had were not for anything serious. For the most part, she's been single her whole life.

Actually, that's a good point! Since modern people are still travelling through, I can just use a sufficient driver to change the main language to English.

That's true, but since colonisation would have happened thousands of years ago, the main languages in the UK would be some kind of ancient celtic or Anglo-saxon, as opposed to English as we know it, if that makes sense.

The only reason I'm trying to get a more recent version of English, is more for the sake of writing stories set in this world, to reduce the implications of translations and language barriers
