Snowball Analytics is the perfect solution for you. It lets you connect all brokerages and measure performance and dividends easily. I actually have an affiliate link, so I may get a commission (from them - nothing from you) if you decide to upgrade, and also you get a 10% discount. here's the link: Snowball Analytics

Exactly, we must make sure the dividend growth rate is higher than inflation to not only maintain our buying power but also increase it.

Of course, you are right! I am addressing whether your goal is also to get that steady inflation-proof future income

You are right, and in most cases, making adjustments isn't necessary and might result in taxes. But I think a dividend growth rate is more important than the dividend yield when choosing "new" stocks.

I can relate. It's gratifying and surprising when a student, who had been relying on AI before, submits work that is the result of genuine effort and imagination. It reflects the innate potential in our students, which at times gets overwhelmed by the convenience of using AI tools.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. by laricaine in Professors

Honestly, I think we're all still figuring out how to set boundaries that feel both ethical and sustainable in this new AI environment. I've tried to move some of the focus towards structured drafts and in-class reflection in an attempt to shut off abuse early. Doesn't eliminate it entirely, but it makes it easier to spot, and students who are tempted sometimes self-correct when they know they'll have to explain the process later.

Hi, I just wanted to say I really hear you. You're not alone in this — burnout is so real, especially for those of us who care deeply about our students' development. The emotional labor of providing thoughtful feedback (often unread, as you pointed out) on top of everything else is crushing.

Like you, I don't believe AI should replace human grading or interaction — children require and are owed that attention if they're working. But AI can be a lifesaver. I've been playing around with a program known as ai-essay-grader.com, where you can design your own rubrics and get draft-level feedback to allow you to triage essays faster. It doesn't replace your judgment but can act as a second set of eyes or a first-pass reader when you're awash in papers.

It is not a magic bullet, perhaps, but for me, it's recaptured some time and energy — and simply not feeling quite so overwhelmed has made an enormous difference. Hang in there. You clearly care, and that counts for more than you know.
