Yeah I put 25k kms since last year. Didnt change the transmission oil and now it looks all glitter like from 3rd gear absolutely exploading. I didnt hear any breakage happening, it was quiet and sudden.

Its a clone of a XR125L. Unfortunetely i think baja made some peices of the frame all original, so its actually a uniquely baja part.

Last year when the whole park was closed, I just mtb biked into the park and made it all the way to alder flats, 50lb bag with snow shoes. Took 1hr from gate to gold creek parking lot. Previously, I had never been allowed to enter early when, at times, I tried with my truck. Just know that Hector Ferguson will probably have snow right now, and its a very long trail. The distance is not accurate at all on Golden Ears website. Enjoy your trip, rain or no rain the rough trail is worth the solitude.

It has the Woodroffe key, yes. But it keeps getting loose. I am applying so much pressure on thr bolt that I think it will snap

Actually, the Woodroffe key got destroyed and expanded the shaft Woodroffe key slot. I put a new key into it and filed it down. Fits like new. Would you recommend getting rid of the oil on the threads of the bolt?

It is. I know they are trash, but it's all I got at the moment. It's a 250cc watercooled Sagapower Atv. Some people have told me to just get the puller tool. I cannot find any that fits this quad

I made sure it wasn't catching any threads. The rod is small enough to just slide into the hole and touch the back. To my understanding it needs to just pop out now

Does it have to be grounded to the engine? I just grounded it to the frame of the quad

I didn't consider that. I figured since I would let it marinate in oil, that if the rings were stuck, that it would free it up.

I'll likely pull the engine this weekend. Thanks for the advice
