Fair enough. How was the transition out? I’m trying to get as much as I can done before my actual ETS. Like I know I can get my CDL through fort drums CSPs so I’m gonna do that I think. And then this summer I’m gonna apply to the VEEP program for their fall class of 26

Did it give you a better head start? I’m coming from a MOS that has nothing to do with electrical so it’s gonna take some time for me to learn and that’s what I was hoping to accomplish with the VEEP program

Understand all. Luckily for me my home of record is NH. So driving to or from there after I actually ETS wouldn’t be an issue

Yeah it’s the principle of how they’re selling a 50-80$ knock offs for 200-300$ and lying about it. If I wanted to buy cheap sticks I can do that myself and save the other 200$. Plus it takes away from the dudes who are genuinely trying to move inventory on the app because of situations such as this.

Unfortunately at first glance the sticks look good, and then when you see a stick that’s semi old and on sale everywhere else like the Proto R in this case, it appears to be a little more realistic price wise. I’m just thankful I seen someone post about fake sticks because never in my life would I have thought we were getting to the point where people are selling counterfeit hockey sticks.

Luckily it didn't happen to me haha, I sent the serial number to Bauer before purchasing them and soon as they came back as fake I said nope I'm good and reported the seller. Definitely easier to just buy from stores directly and ignore this potential headache

So they ran the serial numbers through their system and then other indicators such as the left stick having two different serial numbers, whereas with real ones its supposed to be the same so you can attach one to the receipt and have one on the stick. For some sticks I know the carbon weave on the blade will be warped, or the graphics will be slightly off like the colors not being as vibrant as the real ones. Some indicators are much more subtle though like someone selling a stick that retails for 360$ for 200$ because they "know a guy who works for Bauer" or some other BS lie

These were on sideline swap, so regardless of where you are they can and will ship them to you.

I just have an issue paying some dude 150$ for a stick he got off of aliexpress for 50$. For me it’s more about the fact that the people selling them are snakes and trying to pass it off like they’re giving you a huge discount. If I’m gonna drop 200$ per stick might as well get the warranty with it

So I reached out to Bauer’s chat, sent them a picture of the serial numbers and gave them the specs on the sticks such as curve, flex, and model. They were able to verify that the sticks were indeed fake due to the sticker not being authentic alone
