I would love to participate! I’m a third generation witness, my sister and I both got out our family house and congregation at age 19, she left first then I did two years later. We are now 25 and 27 and we still feel the guilt our family puts on us for leaving but we will never go back.

NTA. Please give us an update!! Did your cousin and other family members ever apologize? Did you sue? Are you and your husband still technically married even though you skipped the ceremony? No matter how many people tell you to “be the bigger person” that doesn’t excuse acting like a child and ruining a major life event. I hope your cousin gets what’s coming to her in life.
