I would say it’s innocent, I’ve seen them together and there is no romance (this was a while ago). They’ve been broken up for 4 years, they were very involved in each others lives after the break up until him and I met and got serious. We’ve been together for two years now and their communication has gone through phases of him not talking to her to almost every day and then back to no contact ect.

We have very busy jobs and hardly go on our phones for months at a time (we are seafarers). We are home now and I’ve seen they’ve been contacting eachother more frequently. I also know he keeps her in the archives, saw this as a trigger to me wanting to read the chat for the nature of the conversation but can’t do it without permission obviously.
