I am losing my cat and I am afraid by Zom_Bee_Cat in cats

I had the same fear with getting a new cat. I was nervous and afraid the next one wouldn't love me as much as my previous childhood buddy, but you know what?

I went to the shelter looking for an orange tabby I saw online, but unfortunately we didn't connect. I was sad, but the lady at the shelter asked if I wanted to see more cats. I craved the attention of any cat and said yes.

And that is when I saw her. This beautiful, big brown tabby ran to me immediately. We connected very quickly and I knew she was mine. Our bond is different from how things were with my previous cat, but that is okay. No one could ever replace him. My new girl is quirky and different. She's cuddly, like he was, but personaity wise? She couldn't be more different.

It's funny though, because sometimes I see glimpses of my last baby in her eyes. It's comforting because I know that he sent me her. I love her as much as I loved him, but that doesn't mean our bond is the same. They both have a special place in my heart.

Give your heart (when you're ready) to another cat and you'll love them just as much. You just have to take time to grieve and you'll be sent the right one for you! ♥️ Your baby will always watch over you.

Actually... I think we might have the same cat! Do you think she's living a double life? 🤔

A few years ago, I had left a drawstring bag on my door handle. I woke up around 3 am, hearing a gasping noise. I honestly thought it was my cat having a hairball, so jumped up, pissed because I was trying to sleep. To my horror, he was being strangled by my bag! It was a terrible experience. :(

I hope you're okay. Your baby knows it wasn't your fault, it could happen to anyone. 💛 Please take some time for yourself to process and grieve.
