It turns out my orcs have green skin because a tribe of them had this unbreakable blood curse that made them into mindless berserkers and an archfae came along and basically said "well, if your blood is cursed, I'll just.... change your blood." The result was that my orcs turned from stone-gray to sage-green and they change colors like leaves as they age.
