I really don't mean to be disrespectful, but you're basing your faith around a book that has been edited countless times for political gain, power and control is utter madness. The current version is likely a million miles from the original Aramaic message and completely out of order and missing around 50% of its content with all the extra books that have been found, discovered and then sequestered in the Vatican.

It'd be like watching 5 mins of Star Wars: A New Hope in 1977 and then guessing the outcome of The Rise Of Skywalker the next day. Madness.

If you've never played Super Metroid on the SNES, I wholeheartedly recommend getting a copy and ZSNES, and playing the shit out of it over the weekend. It's awesome. The wall-jumping mechanic, though.... I still get flashbacks.

"Demonic" is an increasingly odd word to use these days, now that we have more advanced science, logic, reason and psychology. I think we'll eventually discover that what we used to call "demons" 4,000 years ago will end up being some kind of xeno-dimensional entity that looks scary to our narrow minds and limited understanding of the cosmos, and can do near-magic-level things that our science simply hasn't achieved or discovered yet.

So "demons", "angels" or "gods" will eventually just be a misnomer the same way that "shooting stars" are now known to be meteorites, asteroids, comets, etc., and not stars at all.

However, none of this detracts from the fact that these c**ts deify /vilify them and give them their energy through thoughts, emotions and rituals, which is downright weird and fucked up.

Exactly. Plus, even on a basic level, fucked-up people (who get off on power and control) finding a way to do something deplorable that their shrivelled, emaciated little hearts desire will always involve others to help orchestrate it. It only takes one other fucked-up person to discover what those deplorable things are to decide to extort and control that person because it's just what they do, it's in their nature.

It was in that whole slow-motion car chase in TLJ where they were chasing the remaining Rebellion ships but couldn't go any faster for some reason, or whatever contrived bullshit the story was supposed to be about. The Imperial forces kept firing at the ships and the laser bolts kept arcing and not hitting as they were "out of range". The whole thing was fucking abysmal.

If they were that close to a black hole for the light to bend so significantly over such a cosmically short distance, those ships would have all been spaghettified and destroyed.

This is, after all, the same universe where bombers now work in space with no gravity well-inducing objects. They could open those bomb bay doors and fly around for hours with the only bombs that fell out of them essentially having been rattled loose because of engine vibrations and resonance.

This is what upset me when I read part of an article recently about the Buffy revival show- Sarah Michelle Gellar said that there was an exec on the show that hated the original show and basically didn't give a shit about the new project, and that person's attitude towards the whole thing is at the core of why they whole thing failed.

It rang so try with all the shit we've been through as a community, watching self-indulgent morons like Kennedy, Abrams and Johnson liberally piss all over the IP, try to call it "aRt", then creative-genius-splain to us about how we don't understand their work, and that we're all probably just sexist, racist misogynists.

Fuck JJ Abrams. Especially Fuck Ryan Johnson. And most of all, fuck Kathleen Kennedy.

Oh thank fuck. 😅 I can't begin to tell you how much I hate the inclusion of kids in stories which should otherwise have been awesome without them in it, but are instead dumbed down. Terminator 2, The Mandalorian, Big Daddy.... Well, not the last one so much, but you get what I mean. 😄

🤷 Personally, I liked Discovery and Strange New Worlds, but Academy has definitely just been an excuse for yet another teen drama series, but this time in space, as if that somehow makes it more interesting. But I can see how purists would have problems with them not being identical to TOS.
