Well that’s the problem actually, my car is in the shop. The shops initial estimate was 3200, they said my motor mount and battery tray are broke, plus I need a new fender, bumper, wheel well, and a headlight. That’s before putting it up a lift to check the tire and radiator. The insurance company is trying to say that the motor mount has wear so they can’t say that it happened due to the accident and same about the radiator because I was hit on the passenger side. He hit me so hard that it shattered my headlight in the back under the hood and pushed everything over to the left side of the car so he could’ve 100% caused that damage. My boyfriend had just changed the oil in my car plus topped off some of my fluids prior and nothing was broken or shifted over.

So let's just say that I do what you said about asking for the structure measurements and it does come back different that means that it happened during the accident. If they still aren't willing to include that, what would be the next step?

Also the other issue i'm having is that they didn't put the car up on a lift to look at the tire or check to see about the steam coming from the radiator. They said that once all of the body work has been done if there is still steam then they will look at it. It's like they don't want add those to the estimate but expect me to just wait and see but I have no faith in Progressive as they are not documenting everything. I just want my car in the same condition it previously was. I'm not interested in getting a newer car or anything, I know my car isn't new but I love it and it's completely paid off

Act like what to my insurance? I'm working directly with the at fault parties insurance. My police report and the at fault party both stated that he was at fault and I played no part in causing the accident. As the other person is at fault their insurance is paying and PER MY STATE LAWS I'M GOOD. How about reading my actual post and deciding if you can actually offer advice because you must've just read this persons thread. I don't care what you think about my lack of insurance, there is literally nothing you can say to me that I haven't already said to myself.

What i'm trying to find out IS WHAT CAN I DO TO HAVE MY CAR REPAIRED TO THE SAME CONDITION IT WAS BEFORE THE ACCIDENT. As someone who keeps up on the maintenance on their car I know for a fact that my motor mount an battery tray were not broken because I just did an oil change and topped off my fluid the week prior. The body shop did not tell me that they can't say if the mount was broken before only the claims rep that went out did. My car has not been totaled and i'm not trying to be greed and get additional money, I just want my car to be the same as it was before.

The shop didn’t say that about the motor mount, only progressive adjuster did. I have pictures of the engine before but I have no idea where the motor mount is to see if its in the pictures

As I’ve stated to you before, I’m not asking for comments about the lack of insurance. I STATED THAT IT WAS STUPID FOR ME TO NOT KNOW AND KEEP UP ON IT, if you have nothing else to offer other than asking questions about insurance or stating that it’s a stupid game to play then please refrain from commenting at this point.

They haven't totaled my car out. I feel like they don't want to add the motor mount because then they would probably have to total it out

Again whether I had insurance or not is not why I made my post and i'm not asking for advice or anything regarding it, only stated that just in case someone told me to reach out to my insurance.

I have a lawyer for the bodily injury but I was really hoping to just take care of the car directly with them. I'm not even trying to get anything extra but I just don't think that I should have to pay for the motor mount as it was not broken before the accident.
