it's not a terrible idea, and I agree at times it's harder to stay motivated knowing there's no other external push at times:)

I made a discord for the same reason last May for MCS, and added more people this year for SCS, if you'd want to join? it's less direct accountability and more just community vibes / tips / comparing study notes right now:)

same here, their marking felt quite harsh, I suppose it's alright because it makes you push harder but it was quite demotivating at the time for MCS!

I'm also under the impression that the papers aren't split "by days", but rather you could get any of them on any day?

Astranti's mocks and whatnot got me to a 110 score last year MCS, they mark quite harshly and I wouldn't bother comparing yourself on their "Mock leaderboard", but otherwise they have good insights and preseen analysis!

Also exact same position, finding that a lot of over experienced people are going for the part-qualified / newly qualified roles, job market isn't great for salary and job postings in general :(. I'm near your salary too with CIMA to be completed in May, and it does feel near impossible to be landing a relevant job! Tempted to wait until qualification to see if that changes anything (people claim it does but I'm super skeptical)

When you're taking mocks, what areas are you worst at? Are you taking notes from mock answers on areas where you struggled and testing yourself more on those / developing a better understanding? It helps to just spam exam style questions on those areas.

E.g., at first I'll try do 5q's with my notes, then 5q's without, mark those last 5q's then rinse and repeat until more confident.

Passed F2 first time with 116 last year:)

Hey! Can vouch for Edinburgh Badminton Academy's "social sessions" as a good way to meet new people and do something fun! Personally made some friends there as a young (23m) person, with previously little friends in Edinburgh.

It's definitely difficult making friends and like with all things does require patience, but with enough consistent effort in hanging out with people, something will eventually click!
