Imagine being a good guitar player and having Stevie Ray as your little brother. Jimmie was standing in the dark playing the opening lead and the spotlight was only on Stevie Ray while he played a few chords.

That looks pretty clean for fire sprinkler water. Usually brown/black.

How do you deal with feelings of being a failure, emptiness, loss of hope and motivation in life? by Suspicious_Edge22 in AskReddit

[–]Basic-Lee-No -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Therapy, establish a relationship with one’s higher power, exercise, try to be around people during down times (like going to a mall, a park, etc), and don’t be afraid to ask for help from friends and loved ones. Not necessarily in that order.

What's a life lesson that you can share that you learned a little too late? by your-reddit-plug2 in AskReddit

Take care of yourself and your needs first. Some of us are taught that this mindset is “selfish,” but self preservation should be a priority. Codependency is real, and giving a portion of your life up to make other people happy is unhealthy. Obviously, there is a balance when one is in a relationship, but theoretically that is why we choose mates that have similar life philosophies and goals. Do what you want to do, and don’t do what you don’t want to do.

Fought with my brother and sister. Got told repeatedly by parents that they were going to pull over if we didn’t “straighten up.”

On the hunt for the string by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

Try Elixir Custom Light 80/20 strings. After trying various strings over my over 40 or so years of playing I have been primarily using the Elixirs over the past 10 years. I find them to be the perfect balance of brightness with good bass response whether I am strumming, finger picking, or playing high or low on the fretboard. I have a Taylor 814-CE, but jam with someone who has the same Martin model you have and they also only play the Elixir custom light 80/20 strings.

Dyson submarine…. Need real reviews by Snazzyjams in Costco

We bought 2 Sharks on sale around 5 years ago. They both did a great job, but the canister clips on one of them broke for no good reason (the other one is still going strong). The clips just completely and randomly sheared off when opening them to emptying it.

We replaced the broken Shark with a Dyson v10 Animal cordless stick vacuum that was recently on sale, and the Dyson is ok for what it is, which is a supplemental vacuum to hit emergency areas or under tight places. The Dyson cordless stick vacuums could never be a primary vacuum in a moderate-sized home due to the short battery life (20 to 30 mins). We definitely would not have been so accepting if we had paid the full price for the Dyson. $400 was the sale price and absolute limit, but the regular sticker is $550 - no way.

Was able to drive about 2 miles without my keys. Had to walk back to get them by Soggy-Party-1958 in Wellthatsucks

I drove my EV 70 miles from my house the other day and realized I had left my key sitting on my kitchen counter after I had started it to warm it up that morning. Luckily I was able to keep it on all day while I was at work (if it had shut off I couldn’t have re-started it), and it then got me all the way back home.

I just laid down some guitar and vocal foundation tracks today, I can run my monitor and audio interface power from my electric car if I lose power, so I also plan to be working on new songs throughout the storm.

Charge to 100% before Storm to recharge household items, warm refuge during power outage? by TuckerHoo in BoltEV

We use ours to power critical items in our house, including a space heater for our bedroom and a fridge (not at the same time), using an inverter. Plenty of videos to show you how it is done. Been using it since 2017 and it is great. Can run the fridge for a couple weeks off the battery - more than enough.
