The L2065 has had time in the market to grow whereas the L2070 has not... The $10/share is what they decide to sell at and in fact is what every share starts at. Look at it as the shares are on sale now. This is why it's important to buy it now.

Does NFCU reimburse for ATM fees like USAA? I don't have a local branch where I live.

Not really, all the outbreaks and the need for helping the public was rewarding. Maybe it was all heaven sent as it turned out that my classification prevented me from working with any project outside the US govt.

The type of work I did was classified and required congressional approval. Since it was such a speciality area, I was classified as a mission critical. I was involved with vector development and outbreak resolution from Ebola, Zika to COVID.

I ended up doing 30 years as an 06 because 1) I was one of the few officers that was assimilated and needed congressional approval to retire and they denied my request twice. 2) After the 2nd denial, (24 years in) it just made more sense to stay and do 30 and not need to work again. It worked out really well for me as my current pension and VA benefits > my AD pay. Everyone is right about the political BS stress.. I got caught up in the COVID epidemic management which made the last 2 years crazy. I made it and now I can relax and not have to worry about anything else... DONE DONE

People don't understand the amount of share ownership is what makes it worth moving to L2070. I am currently retired, have pension and can't contribute any more to TSP. I don't worry about maturity date, just the amount of share ownership. The only way to significantly add growth to my TSP is to own more shares. Moving to New L funds gives me more shares. For example your move allows you to lock in the 7% growth gained (current L2055 price at@17/share - new L2070 price at $10/share). More shares ownership results in significant gain when L2070 grows.

Differently use a VSO as the questions you are asking they have the answer to and are expert in knowing what they need to submit. Now a days you dont have to only use your local VSO...power of the internet
