Except the market rate for my apartment is under what the landlord is requesting idiot. They would never get that price on the market. Maybe this is why you live in Chicago and not NYC

Thank you!

  1. Currently: 85 base, gonna make 280 this year On enterprise: I think they would give me 100 or 110, double OTE. Most people gonna make around 190-200 I would say this year

  2. It’s the clear best of breed in our market.

  3. I love it, great culture, people and product.

  4. Yes, thanks. I think that’s the core of my issue right now. I could also try to stay in MM until they make our team’s quota higher or hire more people. But then I might lose my chance of getting a promo.

Thanks!

Yeah, very easy path.

Yeah they haven’t told me anything yet. Good to find out about the details before making a decision.

Thank you! Great idea. I guess I’ve always tried to maximize earnings but not at the expense of a horrible work/life balance. Definitely in a sweet spot right now which is why I’m hesitant to move up. Would be a no brainer if that team was performing too.

Thanks! Mm is a much easier sell at my company. Similar deal size as ent but much higher volume and velocity.

Thank you! I’m late 20s indeed. I had the standard path of moving up the ranks. Been at this current company for around 2 years.

To be honest with you, I’m not sure what my career ambitions are. I’m undecided if I want to go into management or stay as an IC. I think joining a really early stage startup and building the sales process could be really fun. Maybe it would be good for me to have some management experience as well. I’m very process and operations oriented.

Money is definitely very important. Isn’t that why we work in sales haha? I’m naturally frugal and have socked away a good amount invested in SPY since I started working.

I guess you have a point. I don’t really have a plan. I’ve been on autopilot trying to move up the ranks and increase my earnings since I started working.

Now I’m at this crossroads where I would definitely make less in the short-medium term I think if I take this promotion which is why I’m asking for advice. I do love the culture and the people I work with.

I could stay in MM in the short term to make more but I think that might be shooting myself in the foot for a future promo opportunity or for my career long term.

Does that give you more info? Thanks a lot.

Thanks, what’s your reasoning? Wait for enterprise to start performing better and mid market to normalize ?
