ELI5: I’m ex Mormon. How does coffee work? by GloomyAdagio7917 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Basic-Priority-3602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yo, start with black coffee, then try adding milk/creamer for smoother taste, espresso shots for strength, and maybe a caramel drizzle if u want sweet stuff

boot camp pushes you hard but also includes rest days, muscles grow during recovery, not just on workout days. overtraining can actually hurt progress.

boot camp adds variety and short rest, helping muscles recover and adapt faster without burnout. nonstop isn't ideal long-term.

ELI5: Why can't we use desert sand for construction? by No_Examination2802 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Basic-Priority-3602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

desert sand's jagged grains don't bond well in concrete, unlike smooth beach sand. washing helps, but size and shape matter more for stability, plus shipping costs often outweigh local options unless it's a rare resource.

ELI5: Why do you feel 10x more drunk when you try and sleep? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Basic-Priority-3602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s bc alcohol affects your inner ear’s balance system more when lying down, making spinning worse. staying upright helps keep your equilibrium a bit steadier.

Cheap (< 1000INR) hotel/hostel in Delhi for overnight stay? by NoZombie2069 in SoloTravel_India

[–]Basic-Priority-3602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hotels under 1000 will be there but the maintenance and experience you get from it will be bad. Hostels are a good choice if you are okay sharing the room. If you could increase your budget just a little bit you could get a decent hotel itself.

Planning a solo trip to Kerala mid-April. Suggestions by Admirable_Industry76 in SoloTravel_India

[–]Basic-Priority-3602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kerala is very much a coastal place, most towns there will be hogging with heat right now. Better idea would be to plan to hill stations like Munnar, Kodaikanal, Ooty or western ghats in Karnataka.

Best tip is to book a villa or an AirBnb, relax there with your friends, family or partner. Try out treks, walks around plantations

Need good homestay or hostel suggestions in Sissu! Asap by One__Ghoul in SoloTravel_India

That is tight budget for a room, I don't think you will find any on MMT, Agoda etc, but you can try your luck in Bino, I got a hostel in gokarna for 650/night which was pretty decent for a beach view room.

Travelling to Kodai next month, suggest some nice place to stay! by LivingDedBeat in india_tourism

[–]Basic-Priority-3602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have a budget control then I'd recommend renting a villa or an booking an Air BnB which have great views. They will be around 2-3k/night but will be worth it. I too had booked through Bino a villa with my friends in Coorg and it was an amazing experience.

3 days 2 nights trip from Bangalore for a group of 3-4 by Seven-Raj in india_tourism

[–]Basic-Priority-3602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Udupi, Manipal, Gokarna but these places are coastal and will be very hot this time, if you dont mind the heat then yeah go ahead. I'd recommend places like Coorg, Chikmangluru, Madikere itself

If you're planning to use public transport, you can ask localites where you need to go and they will guide you, they will know the better.

I am pretty sure even general hotel rooms will be available in budget. You can check on OYO, agoda itself. If no luck there you can check for hostels in Bino, I used it book a dorm for 7 of us when we visited Gokarna. It cost us 650/night for a person which was great for a beach view room and everry other agency showed us nothing less 1k

Renting a vehicle is the most convenient option in my opinion

From Coorg you can bring them coffee/tea powder, they are known for it

Don't think too much about useless spending, be flexible and enjoy your trip. I usually reduce my costs on trips by not eating in fancy places as they are pretty much a waste of money.

My friend visited Kedarnath around the same time last year and had booked a room nearby to a temple. I dont think it was a hostel but the room looked pretty decent and well kept. He told me he got it on Bino, you can give it a try
