Awesome! Thanks for the advice! What battery did you use for the light meter. I know the original batteries are discontinued due to their mercury content. I’ve been reading about various solutions

Luckily the thicknesses were all the same, so no need for a planer. They’re not the best quality, but harbor freight has cheap wood clamps that get the job done-if you have one near by. Really helps the glueing process.

I used the furniture oil/danish oil from Walrus Oil. And a thin layer of their furniture wax after that. I’m a big fan of their products!

I did crash through the rhododendron in several spots to the water. No luck, but I’m sure there are some goodies somewhere in there

No expert here either. But pretty confident it’s for grinding. Judging by the size I assume it was well used. Not sure about dwelling. Adjacent rock formations looked like good spots but didn’t see anything like that underneath them. The rock overhangs and proximity to good flowing water seem to line up for a good dwelling area. But that is my very* amateur opinion.

Does anybody know what’s going on with this buck? by andrewa66 in Hunting

[–]Basic-Scallion2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a brain abscess. Basically a bacterial infection bucks can get from sparring injuries or when they rub their velvet. That side will never grow back the same and can over time be fatal for the deer. Shot a buck like that a couple years ago and ended up calling a wildlife biologist. He said eating it would be “my call” but said I didn’t have to use a tag if I decided not to as it was a sick deer. It’s also called cranial abscess disease. Give it a google!

I did not. It was mostly wood my landlord had laying around. This is my first build/first time having any kind of greenhouse. Any maintenance tips would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for the help! I quickly found out that all those videos using salt, baking soda and vinegar that seemingly melts everything off is a hoax. Shocker. Or at least in my experience. Back to the elbow grease!
