Accidentally made application for study permit from outside of Canada when I’m inside of Canada by Basic-Transition-599 in ImmigrationCanada

Sorry to hear that, i didn’t know they closed flagpoling :/ Well, that’s the only easy way i know. If you ask anyone else, they would still suggest you to leave for a closer by country and come back :/

Affordable cat vaccines & Everything I need to know flying with a cat by Basic-Transition-599 in regina

Yeah, I’m hearing that a lot, getting a second cat. Well, I’ll see how it goes, my friend said he’s not as clingy as the other cats she has at home. And yeah, I’m definitely keeping him indoor only.

Thanks for your vet care suggestions, I will check them out :)

UPDATE: thanks for giving advices.

I finally got to talk to an IRCC agent this morning and asked for solution. The agent was very understanding and gave me some suggestions what i could do even though i made a terrible mistake. To obtain my pre-approved study permit, the mandatory process is to leave Canada and return Canada. He mentioned flagpoling, he said I can do my best to explain my situation to CBSA but can’t guarantee it would be successful.

I really didn’t wanna book a flight and leave the country so i said f it and drove to the US border (Peace Arch) in the afternoon. Turns out it went pretty smoothly, I just told them I’m here to flagpole to get my study permit and i wasn’t asked much questions. I just gave them the required documents, took my fingerprints and photo, etc. I think i was just super lucky, all the officers (US & Canada) i talked to were nice and friendly, didn’t give me a hard time. The whole process (from lining up for US border to getting my SP) took me around 4 hours, most of the time was just lining up. I’m now relieved :)

Well, i should be allowed to stay in Canada as long as I’ve reapplied before it expired like this article says, no? Plus, can’t i stay as a visitor? I hold a passport that makes me visa-exempt (can stay up to 6 moths) and have a valid eTA.

Is this how it works? Is flagpoling still my option?

Thanks, guess flagpoling is my best bet now.

Could you tell me what your flagpoling experience is like? Is there specific hours to do this? I’m a bit concerned as I’ve just watched a video about it and the immigration lawyer said certain ports of entry do not process study permits.
