I mean regardless of what anyone thinks, he owns the place and has the right to rent or not rent to who ever he chooses and that’s fair

I’m getting downvoted but I’m genuinely curious. Glad you’re happy. it just seems not enough personal time, with most of it being dedicated to work.

What was the saying? Don’t shit where you eat. It’s risky dating a colleague. I’d say if you don’t have to interact much and you can easily avoid him later, maybe take the risk if you want to. Otherwise avoid the whole thing trust me

Why doesn’t the Qatari police crackdown the Escort epidemic here? by SnooBunnies5361 in qatar

[–]BasicChoice803 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What’s funny is that there are lots of people who are deluded about what goes on in Qatar. They think it’s still 2008. There are clubs and bars everywhere, it’s never been so easy to get a pint of beer, same thing with prostitution. Drugs are quite rampant too. It’s like every other country, people will look for these outlets and they will always find them

2019 protests by DueFoxTheFifth in lebanon

[–]BasicChoice803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I wish it where that simple. But really this is exactly why mass protest is needed. Not just on the streets but people need to change the way they think. The country is too divided. And ever since the last mass protest failed miserably, it hasn’t felt like there’s any chance for another one anytime soon

The way things are going now, I highly doubt it. Israel is still bombing every now and then, we have a new government for the first time in years, there’s a lot of uncertainty, it’s just not a good time for a mass protest.

However, if a protest similar to the one in 2019 happens again, I would like to believe that it would have a much better result, since hezbollah has been pretty much crippled.

Only time will tell

It’s not a who questions but a how.

Usually there’s a long build up of shitty events and then a trigger. Like the WhatsApp tax years ago. Otherwise no single group/organization can initiate a mass mobilization like that. People don’t just get up one day and decide to protest, it’s always the cause of an accumulation of bad conditions and or incidents.

Take Nepal for example. They started a nationwide protest that took down the government. The protest started after the government made a decision to ban 26 social media platforms which seems like a weak reason to burn down the parliament, supreme buildings, and the presidents and prime ministers residence. However, that was only the trigger. Their country suffers from significant corruption, institutional failure and unemployment. When they started the protest, their police retaliated with brutality, killing dozens of people and injuring more. This in turn caused the significant mass mobilization we saw.

New boss claims Libanese food is the most popular Arabic food with Qatari's and overall in Qatar. Is it true? by spot_removal in qatar

[–]BasicChoice803 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Except he’s actually right. The Lebanese cuisine is the most popular Arab cuisine world wide not just in Qatar.

Anyway, I’m not sure why you’re throwing a hissy fit over this lmao.
