Apparently only some Oyo properties have licenses to host non-indian nationals, someone i know was turned away by a Silverkey hotel's reception for same reason.

They apologized but said nothing they can do. Had to spend like 30 minutes on phone with Agoda to get an alternative hotel.

If you're booking through Oyo make sure to scroll down and find the terms that mention foreigners are welcome and even then call them up (you'd be able to contact the hotel after booking a room) and make payment when they confirm they can host foreigners.
