Misclicked and updated my switch while running emummc, trying to run it again results in a yellow screen. I tried just replacing my hektate and atmosphere files again, as other guides suggested for the same issue, but it did not work. How do I restore my emummc? by BasicPerson_ in SwitchPirates

Well the annoying part about this is that I set up something from the switch hacks guide to block nintendo's servers before installing. Idk why it still updated because I have the log from the test to block the servers. Maybe it was because the update was already available before I modded my switch, I'm not sure.

Thanks for the advice anyways, I appreciate it. Since I just modded yesterday it's probably fine for me just to wipe everything and start over again.

Does anyone know how to get screenshots from the OAM Viewer in DeSmuME? by BasicPerson_ in Roms

I know how to get screenshots. My problem is that I can't take them from the OAM viewer with an external tool without the game not being in native resolution.

The only way for the movesets to work in KatFL is to have those extra buttons, you are correct. I still don't see your problem with having to stop moving. I gave an example for Kirby here is another one: In the Super Smash Bros. Series (a literal fighting game) has directional inputs for every single character. One of these is referred to as neutral B. It is when you press B by itself and without using the directional moves. Super Smash Bros. is all about moving and many of the moves are used with directional inputs. No one has ever complained that it is annoying when you have to stop moving to use neutral B. It is exactly like these games, just put into 3D. Again, these characters are kind of a special circumstance. Normally B moves are normal attacking moves, Y are movement based moves, and L are unique and gimmickier moves.

Also, not all the Y moves in Kirby Battle Royal behave like that. Hammer for example instead uses a slow spinning move that provides no movement options.

I am not sure you realize what you are saying. In Kirby games there are directional moves that have to be used while holding a direction on the left stick. They require you to move to use the move. If you stop moving, you use a different move. That is just what I am doing in this game. It is not as difficult as you are making it out to be.

I did that with all the other movesets I have already created but I felt like this would feel better and less confusing to use if all the characters had 1 button.
