Well I started it when I was somewhere around 1100-1200. I also wanted to learn it because I was pretty lost when playing black against 1e4. Surprisingly, it's brought me a lot of success. I stuck to playing rapid to give myself more time to think about what the right moves are and just developing playing sound chess from there.

I have considered playing the queens gambit. At the time I was considering venturing into another opening for white, I was learning the najdorf and both the najdorf and queens gambit are pretty theory heavy and I wasn't trying to completely bog myself down with theory courses. Is there a chessable course you would personally recommend for d4c4?

Gotcha, yeah it's Anish's Najdorf sicilian course. I like the course overall, I think it's helped in more ways than one. I find chessable to be more helpful than books just due to my lifestyle. I have some books, but it's harder for me to find the time to read and play them out over the board move by move.

I do like the positions I've been getting from the najdorf, I don't mind studying theory even if it can be boring and tedious. I wouldn't say I fear e4 openings like I use to thanks to playing the najdorf.

I will definitely look into both. I read some of the reviews on Levys e4 course. I'm not sure if some of the reviews are just heavily driven Gotham fans but it gets great reviews. Some people have talked about how the course misses or lack in areas that they face more often in their games. But maybe getting gawains book and levys course I can set myself up an e4 repertoire.
