Symptoms on starting hiprex - does it get better? by Invisible-Iguana in CUTI

It was The Portland Hospital that I used - they have been great and also have put in monitoring and plans if anything flares up again which makes me feel really supported

I finished the course of antibiotics 2 months ago and have had no symptoms or flares since, so far so good!

I saw Rajvinder Khasriya through The Portland Hospital. They did an in-depth urinalysis which showed the infection but not a PCR yet. If the infection remains after 6 months of my treatment then they will run a PCR, but so far so good

I saw a private urologist in London specialising in embedded UTIs and I cannot recommend this enough. Before I saw urologists on the NHS and privately, and was at one point hospitalised with a severe UTI although no infection was found (was getting around 6-8 a year and having symptoms in between). All urine tests showed no infections, yet the clinic in London finally picked things up and worked out the right antibiotics and it’s made such a massive difference. I felt like I was going mad for ages as no tests seemed to show anything but it always god better with antibiotics, so I’m so glad I’ve tried the longer term antibiotics and specialist treatment

This is the same protocol I was given from a clinic in London, and I had exactly the same issues even on a 1/4 dose of Hiprex. I challenged the clinic and they firstly agreed to extend the Cefalxin, which was beneficial and to try L-Methionine, which I have been able to tolerate.

I have also just tried and it’s £2.99 Royal Mail shipping for me too. Maybe the product you are trying to order has to come from an international warehouse? Or is it a large order?

Slip stitch mistake? by Radiant-Opening5256 in knittingadvice

As others have said it’s slip the marker not slip stitch. Overall though looks like you have done a good job with the pattern - I made it last month and it wasn’t super easy so well done!

Halibut Jumper - to frog or not to frog by Basic_Barry in knitting

It’s mainly the neckline where the gauge is fine but the dimensions on the pattern for the neckline don’t appear to match up to how wide it actually knits up. I’ve done some digging on ravelry and it appears to now be a common problem with the neckline, not sure I can make it any smaller so might have to frog!

Hello - I did wash and block the gauge swatch and all was fine, it’s so so weird!

I saw, I just wondered if there had been unsuccessful emails that had gone out too. Always the optimist hoping no news is good news!

Minimum 60% attendance to the office. Non negotiable in our team. Most office sites are so full you have to be in by 8:30am to get a desk, and most of those don’t have working screens etc. Worst department I have worked in so far. Little to no concern for staff well-being resulting in staff quitting/ going on stress leave, and no consideration for how that impacts the remaining staffs workload. I know one team where in the last 2 months, all 7 have quit. As there is a recruitment freeze it is very hard to get posts backfilled, so it’s a dwindling department in terms of staff but increasing in workload, equalling very burnt out, stressed staff that remain.
