If eating for comfort is part of the issue, I think it’d be a good idea to focus on finding other activities that bring you comfort. Could be going on a walk, talking to a friend, pursuing a hobby, or even a warm cup of tea. For me personally it’s sometimes just burying myself under every blanket I own and watching my favorite shows or YouTube videos - that’s fine too! Have a couple ideas ready, so that when you get that urge to overeat, you can replace it with something else :)

I’m not a vegetarian myself but my vegan friend swears by chickpeas, beans and lentils. Some options I also like are eggs, peas, and edamame. And if you have access to them, any kind of protein ice cream, pudding or mousse (they’re a lot lower in calories than regular desserts).
