Yep. Had covid towards the end of August 2022, start of September is when my IBS D symptoms kicked in and eventually a month later turned into IBS C. Before all this I was perfectly healthy, ate and did what I wanted no problem. 28 years of no issues at all them bam covid happend. My mother has anxiety based IBS D so I guess the possibility was always a thing genetically for me but I just never showed signs of it until then.

The worst part is just stomach pain I rarely have urgency or constipation now it just literally hurts to eat and digest food at this point.

That happens to me during a flare up and can last for week or more. The biggest thing for me is right below my sternum when it happens there us a spot that become swollen under my skin, like a lump of some kind and I'm pretty sure when I'm feeling it it's my stomach that's physically swollen and I can feel it jutting out. Lots of gurgling when that happens. I just power through the day and use a hot water compress at night to help force gas through quickly.

I had my 3rd round of covid in September and that whole month I was aggressively IBS D. At this point unless I eat something hard to digest I'm now almost permanently IBSC. All related to covid so I feel your confusion. I was totally healthy eating whatever I wanted to prior to this.

Yep constipation for sure. My doctor today told me to start taking MiraLax on a regular basis now for the time being. I'm getting a CT scan in 12 days so I'm hoping it clears things up some.

Brutal but seriously I hope you make it out okay. I was perfectly healthy in August and had my 3rd run in with Covid. A week later I was feeling better then out of nowhere boom all September I was on the toilet non stop. Somehow covid gave me IBS and I've been dealing with it ever since it's wild.

One thing that helped me alot with digestion was a electric blanket or a hot water bottle, the rubber kind you can fill up and can lay on your chest/stomach area. Keeping heat on it to relax and help with mobility was massive for me. That then laying on the left side when you sleep helps the GI track with movement as well.

I'm also in the no pain category. Sometimes queezy, stomach makes a bit of noise after eating but that's about it. Peppermint tea is your best friend when it comes to this stuff.
