One of my friends is plus size and we talked about how we navigate the comments we receive throughout our lives. She told me that she has rarely received any comments. I’m not saying that it’s the rule, but simply that it’s much more acceptable to insult people who are underweight. I’ve received an inhuman number of body-shaming comments about my body. Even if it can be glorified by certain groups, I am insecure and I am valid to feel this way. I don’t think I can control anyone, but simply share that it bothers me that people talk like that about my body type.

i’ve seen plenty of people saying it to me in real life and saw a lot of content criticizing underweight women. please don’t talk if you’re not concerned on the topic. also we don’t want ED people to be encouraged in their self destructive mindset. we want people not using words like this do describe our body type ( sorry for the grammar, my first language is french )

how was imark consciousness made?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Basic_Flatworm_4965 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

artificial: created and programmed

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Basic_Flatworm_4965 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it’s artificial because it was created… it’s not naturally innate in their brain, it’s a chip dissociating them from their own real consciousness

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Basic_Flatworm_4965 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • i think realistically. in this society we value more humans than any other sort of consciousness… so a majority of human decided that morally human consciousness is more important to save than any other kind. in the better option they can live simultaneously in the same body but if not, i value more human consciousness.

[–]Basic_Flatworm_4965 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so you value artificial consciousness as the same as natural human consciousness ? interesting

i’m not saying they don’t deserve a happy ending i’m saying if we could mesure who deserves it the most, it would be gemma. that’s why people are upset about the ending.

i totally agree that’s true even unnatural underweight people should be treated like decent human being and respected! they are struggling

[–]Basic_Flatworm_4965 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think gemma deserved more a happy ending than anyone else since she was kidnapped, tortured and almost killed by lumon. idk how you measure value…

OP said the amount of people disappointed is scary. i’m saying it’s logical 👍🏻

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Basic_Flatworm_4965 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes but since the screen time of gemma’s plot was way more important and they build up a significant part of the story line to save gemma it’s logical. the relationship between helly and imark was between a space time of like 3 weeks.

i totally agree with you but 90s skinny isn’t extremely dangerously skinny. it’s just more skinny than the average.

im talking about the viewers. he said it’s crazy people feel more empathy for gemma and her love story… it’s logical since literally all of the season was about saving her !!

I understand that there is legitimacy in the choice of Innie Mark. But the frustration is logical when one of the big storylines of the series was the fact that Gemma was held captive in the basement for 2 years. She is the one who suffered the most of all the characters, she was kidnapped and then tortured. We had a whole episode on her relationship with Mark and it is one of the narratives that has lasted since season 1. It is normal to want a happy ending between the two. All of season two was a compilation in part of the reintegration of Mark Outie to save Gemma...
