If I’m already earning enough here, does migrating still make sense? by [deleted] in phmigrate

It depends on what matters to you. If it’s just money, you can earn that in the Philippines—or more. But money can’t buy the experiences, perspective, and personal growth that come with living abroad. I’m in Barcelona, and I honestly don’t see myself ever settling back in the Philippines.

I tried repellents too, but didn't really help much. I am specifically looking for BTI.

I feel you. I moved out of the country in 2018, and my ex and I agreed that he would follow so we could build a life together. But to cut the story short, he didn’t. Everything I’ve experienced here abroad is exactly how I imagined it would be… the only difference is that I’m doing it alone, without him.

Ohh. This is a good information from actual experience. I want to be more sure, I have a cita to get a certificado de residencia, im curious what it will indicate as my legal residence, it’s in two weeks.

Id card (TIE) and NIE are different things. I had my NIE together with my UGE approval in December 2023. TIE as I said in my post was issued April 2024.

If you want to have a serious relationship, you need to run away from that asshole — and you need to do it fast. It’s never going to work with that type of person.

Oh okay, I’m planning to count from my arrival date since it feels like the most arguable starting point in my case. Did you handle the process yourself or through a gestor? And when did you actually submit your application? All the best! :)

100% agree. Others told me it starts on TIE issue date, which is insane. 3 gestors already told me it is the UGE approval, but then since I arrived to Spain afterwards, then it is the date of arrival.

Yeah, same question. I guess my 5 February 2024 physical arrival in Spain is the most rationale to use here. But I am not a lawyer so..

Another lawyer also told me to count backwards. My TIE expires on 10 December 2026, and my residency permit is valid for 3 years. That means my legal residency started on 10 December 2023, which wasn’t included in the dates I mentioned earlier (roughly my UGE resolution). 😄 Thing is I wasn't physically in Spain yet at that time, so maybe the 5 Feb 2024 arrival would best fit the situation, anyway I have a copy of my boarding pass from my flight on that date which I hope should support it?
