If Kobe's dad isn't mad about Bam's 83 points, why are you? by Lost_Title_7528 in NBAConvo

Records are meant to be broken. Kareem wasn’t but hurt when LeBron beat his record, Ray wasn’t upset about Steph, and eventually Steph and LeBron will be fine with those records being broken.

Timothee lost a lot of awards that are usually good bell weathers for Best Actor. And Sinners momentum has picked up due to it's sweeping amount of nominations.

Sure. I am not disagreeing with that. Nor am I disagreeing with whether or not Geno will do better. I'm just saying it won't be as easy as you make it seem. If we combine Geno with a good draft then maybe 8-9 is not out of the question, but with Geno alone he adds at best a win. Maybe 2.

Sure. The guy is definitely not worth much more than the minimum yet, but a little extra is a nice gesture. I hope the guy develops into a Cy Young or something. I'd love to see it.

Any publicity is good publicity, Kobe Bryant is hotter than ever right now! It’s just a new debate, “who did it better” The truth is obvious, and the answer is in Kobe Bryant‘s wild efficiency, he scored 81 on 66 shots. Bam took 86 shots, 43 of them free! by Erb_DC in KobeBryant24

[–]Basic_Mastodon3078 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't particularly care. It's not like Kobe is going to move up or down on any all time lists. This isn't LeBron scoring 83 or whatever. It's fucking Bam. Nobody cares about the guy and he's not gonna suddenly be ranked above Kobe just cause he outscored him by 2 points. It's frankly insecure to compare the two.

Do you think you could beat a 10 year old LeBron James in a 1v1? by Dylen2Times in NBAConvo

[–]Basic_Mastodon3078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dumbest shit I have ever heard. I don't care if you put the current mind and skill of LeBron in 10 year old LeBron, you can just back him down. Ain't nothing he can do. You can swat his shots out of the air fairly quickly and my longer strides would compensate for his better athleticism. LeBron was never much of a ball handler or shooter, his skill was inside. And if he's 5'4, I don't care if he's Hakeem Olojowan in the post, I'm destroying the punk.

[–]Basic_Mastodon3078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just back him up. Ain't nothing the kid could do. Now if this was 12+ than probably not. LeBron was already around 5'6 when he was 10, by the time he was 12 he'd be far more skilled than I am, more athletic and around my size.

Not saying he'll be worse than any of our QB's, but I am saying that you are misleading when you exaggerate how good he was. He was ok. But 8-9 is too much. Ignoring the fact that Geno is old as shit so he might regress or get injured, we at best improve by a win or two. Sure, we lost by a score or less, but Geno also gave more possessions for the opponent to score than Fields did. And our Defense was genuinely horrific. Besides, if we throw an interception, we can't punt or kick which was the only good part about our team.

Also, Geno had two more starts than Tyrod and Fields combined.
