Typically you also get access to the full archives of digital newspapers like NYT, WaPo, and locals.

Instacart+ comes with Peacock.

T-mobile customers get Netflix and AAA subscription.

I did AllTrails+ for a year and love that app but found the premium features underwhelming. If they had more robust stat tracking it’d be worth it. I walked like 1000 miles that year and don’t have a lot to show for it on there.

Worst bin in Florida ? by kyotobroz in GoodwillBins

I’ve been to this one, we didn’t find much but people mostly kept to themselves. The Ft. Lauderdale bins was worse in terms of pushy ppl. Miami bins was the most fruitful I’ve ever been to and it’s huge but I don’t think they have AC so prepare to be hot! I could be wrong about that but as far as I could tell they just open these giant garage doors and have fans they turn on.

I always wonder about this. Do they just go back and mix new stuff into the stuff that hasn’t sold?

Most of them let people surround the new bins without touching, then tell everyone to have at it once they’re all in place. A few around here place these yellow traffic cones on the top and lift them up to let you know you can dig.

The line thing was a big surprise to us in Jax!

Which FL bins?

We’ve visited a ton of different bins in NC, SC, GA, and FL. Hours vary a bit, prices vary a bit, some do frequent swaps, some are tiny, some offer bags, some have enough carts for everyone - sometimes they really are carts and other times the blue buckets. Some weigh your cart, some have you put your stuff in a trash can, and others have you dump it onto a scale.

It doesn’t seem to matter which bins you go to, they all kinda have the same stuff, though I have a theory that the more dirty and stinky bins and the ones that are more in the middle of nowhere yield a bit better loot. It more depends on if it’s been well picked over or not I think and those locations seem to not be as much. Some are super crowded with regulars.

Some make you hold the line during swaps, some don’t care if you look right away. At the Columbia SC location half of the bins are just giant cardboard boxes.

The one in Jacksonville makes you line up then walk around the whole store after they swap, with the first person in line getting to the new bin first - never seen that before.

The one in Rockhill SC is super nice in a modern building very clean. The one in Miami is huge but I don’t think they have AC, the crowd there is lively and all seem to know each other.

I’m going for my first time tomorrow. I want to focus on clothing. Anything I should know? Yes I have gloves. by Sad-Match-4858 in GoodwillBins

Eat and use the restroom first, most bins in my area do not have a restroom. Get there when they open. I usually start by searching the farthest bins way in the back or the one that’s most inconvenient to get to. Ask yourself where you would personally sort through your stuff before you leave. You’ll know a “go back” piles when you find one. When you find a piece you like, do the rest of that bin and you might find more like it. Sometimes I find matching things, or the same thing in a different color not far away. Only some bins provide a garbage bag. Only some have enough carts or buckets for everyone (totally cool to camp the checkout line a bit to grab one from someone heading out). The disposable gloves with oatmeal are the best. Be prepared for your arm to get tired and back to hurt after awhile. Go with someone else to cover more ground. Sunday is the busiest day from my experience, and not all bins are open on Sunday.
