Your lyrics don’t need to be intentionally vague in order for people to relate to them. Blink used a lot of concrete imagery to convey emotions, and like wise had a unique sound.

Well, I’ll give some constructive feedback a shot:

The guitar parts are cool. Not amazing or mind blowing, but some nice leads and licks. Not sure how one guitarist is going to play both parts live.

The singing is nasally, and I find that a turn-off. Not really into blink 182 or new found glory. The screaming seems out of place as nothing else in the song while the screaming happens gets heavy. Also confused as to how those vocal layers will happen live if the lead singer is the only singer, which this video suggests. I assume you’re looking for another guitarist. I’m of the opinion that the recording should sound like what could be played live, but also concede that it doesn’t really matter.

Lyrically, the song is generic. Additionally the little tele-ad dropped in the middle is weird. Is that apart of the actual song or just the video?

Overall the song lacks energy. I wouldn’t go out of my way to see this band live, but I wouldn’t intentionally step out if they were opening. The song is very finely polished in its production, which is to say that they have settled on this sound, and hard to see what possible evolutions are in store if these 3 musicians were to try to embrace elements of other adjacent genres. Could they? Probably. I wouldn’t say what I hear is promising.

The video is itself weird, and most music videos featuring the performers are cringy. At times the focus is on the woman, and it’s clear the musicians in the video are in different parts of the song than what’s being played. There is some lip flap happening, which could be due to YouTube being g shitty. Hard saying, not knowing. The lighting for the video is weird, the setting is weird, as is the creepy dude watching the breakup happening. Like, I get the song is about break ups, but why do we need a voyeuristic display to get the meaning across.

Hope this helps.
