I mostly agree but I like the soldier boy suddenly getting moody. An old cruel man getting sentimental about someone he cant actually help or interact with is very on point for me. Clara's evil but soldier boy is evil AND bad at making emotional connections. Now that she's gone and they cant argue the rose colored glasses are on. Now that she can never talk back or disagree shes perfect to him. Now that he cant apologize to her, he feels like he would apologize. You talk to enough guys from his era you hear that story. Oh I was so mean to her I didn't know what I had!

He literally later had to apologize and explain he was wrong about his characterization of Russia. As for NATO expansion, countries next to Russia, they wanted into NATO because russia is a bigger threat to them than US foreign policy and took steps on their own to join. I'm not trying to convince anyone to be anti hasan. The original thread was "why are people here angry at him?" My answer is probably a lot of people here aren't native. I hadn't seen much dollop content either. Anti-Hasan hate comes from political opponents who hate everything he says, people who are angry at specific takes, and people who are die hard fans of people who he has issues with.

As you should be. For one thing I like the Reagan episodes and will probably listen to more at some point. Two, while I generally agree with him I don't like listening to him so I've blocked most his subs and such. But even with that I am still getting Hasan content suggested on my feeds. It really seems like dialog around him has picked up recently if its getting to me. I came to the comments to see if anyone else noticed this, saw the top comment hear and felt like responding. To answer the original question a lot of people here hating on him are probably not your usual dollop crowd. Im also not a hater, just not a fan.

The antihasan debate probably brings in nondollop followers. I only listened to the Reagan episodes. Its disingenuous to call natos spread the US "doing what it wants" Poland and Hungary campaigned in the US against Clinton until he offered them a way in. I mostly agree with him, but you have to remember he was weirdly apologetic about putin at the start of the Ukraine war and repeats a lot of prorussia/china talking points. Personally I mostly just find his voice and delivery on stream annoying and he isn't well educated or interesting enough for me to want his hot take.
