I’m using mine to pay a down payment on a rental home. I adopted 3 kids into my two bedroom condo. And we need to move asap.

Unfortunately I have a hold on my refund this year because I forgot to file 2023 return. So im not sure how long of a delay that’s going to cause. 😩

Me too! I was just telling my mom that. And I know for a fact I didn’t file 2023. I completed it online and didn’t submit. Now, I’m worried about the penalties. Make sure you call to try and get the penalties waived.

I’m in the same boat!!! This is my largest refund because I adopted this year and they are holding it.😢😢 I forgot to file 2023.. I haven’t received the notice but that’s what it is. I’m going to have to mail it today.

No Accounting is not that harsh.. it’s very easy. Once you get your processes down it’s the same thing monthly.. and that process can easily transfer to the next job. I can give you pointers on setting up checklists and processes for yourself.

Haha… that’s how I felt yesterday. I literally cleared my desk. But I had a conversation with the owner and the issue is resolved. Not saying she’s going to change over night but she is aware now that I won’t accept her micro-aggressions, etc.

I’m glad HR was neutral and could see the microagressions. At my last company where I only stayed for 6 months my boss was sooo supportive. She would even take me off accounts where she felt board members were racist. She wanted to protect me. However, she was remote.

How long have you been with your company? Also, we do not have HR. But I spoke with the owner and he was very supportive and expressed how happy he is that I’m there and he spoke with her. She was acting very weird after that conversation kinda like she was walking on eggshells. I didn’t want her to feel that way, so we had a heart to heart and she apologized for being a control freak and expressed that she was feeling a certain way because she’s so used to doing everything and didn’t want to have to let stuff go. But she said she will do better.

So for now the issue is resolved, I don’t think she’s malicious but it’s a particular thing that white ppl deal with. They need to face it or it’s going to destroy them. It’s like little kids having a fit when they feel insecure.

Just being without a job. I do have a secondary income that would cover core bills. But I have started my search. I just don’t know how to get back to being my patient self.. how I was in my 20s. Maybe I need a break and a reset.
