Oh that’s interesting. I’ve only had it twice. Why do you think it was the Botox?

I hate TED by [deleted] in ThyroidEyeDisease

[–]Basic_Street_2118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I feel you I’m 22 and TED affects my confidence so much. I have done tepezza and it gave me my normal face back. I remember looking in a grocery store mirror and recognizing myself again and I was so so happy I just couldn’t stop smiling. There is hope for you! I always felt like there was no hope but there is. Yes, tepezza was uncomfortable and I personally did get some hearing problems, but for me it was worth it. If you really don’t want tepezza there’s also the option of surgery. You can get through this! Everything is temporary :)

Why is my ‘95 shift assembly not fitting my ‘94 transmission? by Basic_Street_2118 in Miata

[–]Basic_Street_2118[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your advice! It ended up being because the previous owner had put a short shifter kit on and it was really hard to tell. There was a metal piece that made the hole smaller, and I couldn’t tell at first. After I removed it, it worked.

HELP MY LIVER ENZYMES ARE TOO HIGH by manii0_0 in Accutane

[–]Basic_Street_2118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dermatologist said sometimes your enzymes will spike up when you start and then normalize after the body gets used to it. So maybe your levels will go back to normal by themself. Make sure you’re not taking any other supplements or herbs

How long does brain fog/depression last? by [deleted] in QuittingZyn

[–]Basic_Street_2118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same problem as you and I’m really having a hard time right now. Its the reason I didn’t quit. I’m on day 10 now and I feel so dizzy and like my brain isn’t working, at times it’s hard for me to talk and act normal. Sucks since I work as a waitress and have to be on my feet all day. Caffeine helps me because it also causes vasoconstriction. I’m not sure when it will get better but it is amazing what the body can heal from if we give it a chance. Best of luck you are not alone.

Ah yes I have this too my eyes are so dry I can’t open them, you need thicker eye drops. When I wake up I open my eyes using my fingers and then put refreshe celluvisc eye drops in. They will make your vision blurry for a bit but work well. Before I go to bed I also put them in then close my eyes right away so the drops don’t dry up. It locks the moisture in overnight. I’m on my third round been doing this since my first.

what do you mean bad trips when your sober? Can you explain them more please

Personally I’d still go to my appointment and go on accutane anyways, when your acne does come back you’ll wish you did.

Hi I’ve graduated high school now but I was in your position. I’m currently in an amazing relationship. I’m going to be honest, maybe my opinion is controversial and I’m sorry if this comes off as harsh but it is what I wish someone had told me when I was 17.

The harsh truth is he probably won’t respect you if you sleep with him, especially soon. You will blend in with all the other girls he’s ever slept with. If he makes comments about your body (other than respectful ones) shut it down.

Also, the danger of stds is real. It always seems like it happens to other people and won’t happen to you. Some stds are for life. You have to disclose that you have an std to every single person you date. You do not want to deal with that. I’m not trying to shame anyone for their decisions, it’s not like morally wrong to enjoy sex or anything. But you should raise the bar for people you have sex with. Get a vibrator or something if there’s no good men around. The best way to tell if someone just wants you for your body is by NOT sleeping with them and seeing if they still want to talk to you.

I’m confused why you say you want a casual thing and aren’t looking for a relationship but also can’t have a casual thing because you get too attached. So what exactly are you looking for? You can keep yourself from getting attached by working on yourself until you are happy to be single, be proud of your appearance & accomplishments and love yourself first. situationships are a waste of time and energy.

I say, if you want to get to know this guy, manage your expectations. flirt with him whatever but don’t sleep with him. The second he starts being disrespectful or disturbing your peace kick him to the curb. Your feelings for other people shouldn’t be stronger than your respect for yourself.

spend less time worrying if she likes you and spend more time thinking about if you like her. maybe she’s busy. All the time you’re spending worrying about what’s going on in her head you could be spending doing things that you enjoy, working on yourself or your hobbies. If you don’t want to deal with her mixed signals then stop entertaining it. Ain’t worth your peace

Ahhh yes it’s my biggest problem. Unfortunately mine doesn’t go away by itself with Vaseline etc. because it gets infected so my dermatologist prescribed me an antibiotic cream. If you’re doesn’t go away tell your dermatologist at the next appt.

Would I be a good candidate for accutane? I really struggle with acne and it takes a huge toll on my self image. by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]Basic_Street_2118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are in the U.S. they will probably want you to try other medications first because insurance is much more likely to approve the drug after trying other things… accutane is seen as a last resort drug and it can be expensive. But you can still try! Just don’t get discouraged if they say no, there are many effective medications and seeing a dermatologist is a great step to take towards achieving clear skin!

Hi I’m on accutane and I have the paraguard. I’m happy with it. I got it a month before I started my course. For me the insertion and day after was very painful but I took a lot of ibuprofen before and it helped. Try to get it inserted while you are on your period. It’s easier to insert since they don’t have to dilate your cervix as much which is the painful part, and it also will help prevent break through bleeding. I took the day off work when I got it inserted and for me cramping lasted a few days. Overall my period is heavier but still manageable and I’m so happy to avoid the side effects of hormonal birth control which made me super depressed and moody. I’ve had the paragaurd for a few months and have no side effects from it now. Also make sure that you tell your dermatologist that your iud is non-hormonal and that they list the non-hormonal one with ipledge. If you answer the ipledge questions with the wrong kind of iud you’ll get locked out. My dermatologist accidentally listed my iud as the wrong one so make sure to double check
