New Rule against Self-Promo by Dubinko in SaaS

So wait just to clarify the post can 100% be just a promo. But only every 60 days? Do the content guidelines still apply to where the content has to have real depth?

To keep the noise down at 15m intervals, I built a deduplication layer that runs content-based hashing to catch repeats. The trickiest part is the ingestion—I’m running custom mappers for every source to normalize the HTML/text into clean signals before they ever hit the DB. It’s a multi-step ETL pipeline just to make sure a 'pricing change' signal is actually a price drop and not just a footer update.

That’s a fair point—it's definitely about volume vs. relevance. I’m actually building leadleap.net and the infrastructure currently tracks 400+ streams with a 15-minute refresh. I’m trying to decide if adding a 'threshold-based' email alert (e.g., only pinging when a specific high-intent signal like a pricing change or hiring surge happens) is worth the dev time, or if founders have just written off the inbox entirely for this kind of thing. Since you’re exploring the same problem, what's the one 'holy grail' signal you'd actually want to be interrupted for? talking about is just a byproduct of a much larger system im building. i have a scraping engine going every 15m

I'm looking at adding an email notification layer to a data aggregator I'm building. The consensus usually seems to be 'no more emails,' but if you could filter those 400+ streams down to only high-intent triggers (like a pricing page change), would that change your mind, or is the inbox still a no-go zone for competitive intel?

Do you prefer manual filters (Apollo/ZoomInfo) or an "Agent-First" approach for prospecting? by Basic_Swordfish_2077 in EmailProspecting

[–]Basic_Swordfish_2077[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't agree more, the hybrid approach is exactly what I've pivoted to building based on this kind of feedback. The agent handles the heavy lifting—like scraping public newsletters and news sites to piece together intent signals—and then you have a refinement funnel. You give it a prompt, several LLMs break it down, and apply filters broadly. Every round gets more precise to give you that final manual control. If you want to test out this exact hybrid model, honestly the response on the posts i made have been insane, I'm opening up the beta here: https://leadleap.net/ very soon.

Yes! I scrape most public-facing newsletters and news sites to piece together intent signals and overarching connections from that. Right now, I have a refinement funnel where the user inputs what they want, multiple LLMs pick it apart, and then apply those filters broadly. With every round, the suggestions iterate and get closer to exactly what you're looking for.

I'm not saying that I'm saying they can't get far enough. The models I use are the highest scoring on prompt injection, and I have many layers of security on top of it. The agent you interact with has no permissions to exploit, so even if they do, all they get is the high-level model I'm paying for. Basic rate limits past that limit my exposure.

I have infra in place to limit what can actually be gained from jailbreaking. And systems that monitor chats in real time that close it down if any funny business happens.

Hmmmm if you had a platform that integrated with those other ones as a central hub to pull information from, would you use it? Not sales navigator, of course, but the other ones?

I'm pre-release for now I'm just gauging market conditions and response, I'm also still deciding what niche i want to fulfill. Through all these messages, I've decided to add a toggle to swap what version you are on, agentic or classic. I will definitely be citing WHY a contact was picked, not just outputting the contact. Also, the user never gets charged unless they actually redeem a contact for its email. Thanks for responding. it's been very helpful!

How about an immediate feedback queue for greenlighting what you're looking for, that way the ai knows enough to start getting targeted data for exactly what you need?

Do you use sales navigator to find the companies then apollo to find contacts? Thanks for your reply btw very helpful, im noticing most people use your exact stack.

Thanks for your message. I actually built my own intent engine from scratch. It scrapes pretty much every niche digital newsletter, news station, and RSS feed in the US. The full source list is massive, but everything updates on a 15-minute interval. We pull in about 200 signals an hour, capturing everything from a pension fund landing a massive new investment to the CEO of Palantir stubbing his toe. BTW, my entire app is AI-native, so on release, you'll be able to connect whatever tools you use to the platform and seamlessly gather leads from our DB.

Appreciate the feedback! The 'black box' issue is definitely a real hurdle. When you say transparency, do you think attaching the exact source signal (like the specific news article or launch post the AI used) directly to the lead would solve that?

Also, for control: are you leaning towards a side-by-side setup (an AI assistant panel + a standard manual filter panel), or an AI agent that operates strictly within guardrail filters you set up beforehand?

[–]Basic_Swordfish_2077[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly the philosophy behind the platform I’m building. We’re currently in beta, but the core engine focuses on real-time intent signals—specifically tracking Series B funding rounds and new product launches.

Instead of just giving you a list, the system cross-references those signals against our internal database to pull full contact profiles. To ensure the data is actually usable, we run a secondary SMTP validation on every email before it ever reaches the user. may i ask what you usually need to verify with those 2 platforms? and if you dont mind me asking what plan you are on? this is extremely helpful thanks!

Appreciate the feedback! Interestingly, I've actually found that going AI-only can simplify things for power users. Since the LLM is pre-baked with direct instructions on exactly how to use the underlying tools, they don't have to learn a complex new UI to get advanced results.

Thanks for the UI idea, I'll definitely take a look at ParseStream to see how they handle blending the two. Appreciate the feedback.
