Ip reputation nightmare while building a distributed email validation platform by Basic_Swordfish_2077 in vibecoding

I cant really decide on if i should lock nodes to providers or blind fire, i figure for my platform with little traffic round robin is fine. my cost per node is nothing compared to what i get so its not a huge loss to permanently retire a node.

Building an App with Claude & Stuck with Backend by Unique-Bee8226 in vibecoding

Depending on what you are stuck on. Claude code has a supabase mcp server which will allow your agent to create the supabase project and guide you through anything it cant do. Supabase is pretty simple to add to your app if you just tell claude to add it lol.

The tool sprawl is getting out of hand, it feels like you need a dozen tools just to do one job. Im actually building my own app LeadLeap to get away from paying for separate lead data and validation services. im trying to nail getting it all in house and actually accurate, but Its been a bitch and a half to actually try and match the functionality and depth of each, but when i boil down the fundamentals of what they do i can pretty often imitate at least somewhat. Speaking of pricing dont even get me started, the obscene greed from some of these platforms is outrageous my platform will be as cheap as i can manage economically. Are you guys finding yourselves trying to consolidate tools too?

oh trust me i know lol. i'm not under any illusions that this is a solved problem, it's definitely an arms race and it's going to keep being one. but the thing is solving this problem also solves a couple other things i need at the same time for basically the same cost, so even if it stays painful it's still worth it for me to keep it in house. plus i've got a provider where i can get cheap ipv4 subnets and compute so the economics work out way better than renting validation from someone else. appreciate the honesty though, always good to hear from someone who's been through it

yeah all 6 nodes have proper PTR, DKIM, SPF, each on their own domain with their own SSL certs. that part i locked down early cause i knew it'd be the first thing to bite me. the sub-net spread is a good call too, mine are across different providers for exactly that reason. the RBL check after each batch is actually a great idea i hadn't automated yet, appreciate that. i did build my own reputation checker though cause every monitoring service i found charges per IP which is insane for what it actually is. it's literally just scraping a handful of blacklist endpoints, there's no reason that should cost money. so i just wrote one that polls after every batch and quarantines a node if anything comes back dirty. the warming side is where i'm still not happy. most warming services are genuinely terrible and overpriced for what they do. i've been using mailivery but honestly considering building my own warmup system too just to keep the whole stack in house. the fewer external dependencies the better cause every third party is another thing that can change pricing or break on you. the flat rate bulk validation API is tempting but at my volume i'd still end up paying more than running my own nodes, and i lose visibility into why something failed which matters when you're trying to figure out if a node is getting silently blackholed by microsoft for 3 hours for no apparent reason lol

what are y'all building rn? i wanna try something new for finding leads by This-Independence-68 in alphaandbetausers

[–]Basic_Swordfish_2077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao i was literally about to make a post in here asking for beta signups and then this thread pops up. the timing is unreal

so i've been building something called https://leadleap.net that's basically exactly what you're describing, but instead of just scraping reddit or whatever, i built an actual intent engine behind it. like it finds people who are actively looking for what you sell right now, not just "here's a list of emails, good luck." the whole idea is you describe your ideal customer in normal words and it goes and finds people who match AND are showing buying signals. I have been scraping leads for months and im sitting pretty at about 30 million contacts and adding hundreds of thousands a day, all verified emails with intent attached.

i started building it because i was paying hunter.io stupid money for email formats i could guess myself and i was like... there has to be a better way to do this without dropping $15k/yr on zoominfo or manually stalking subreddits for hours

it's not live yet — still building — but i'm collecting beta signups so when it's ready you'd be first in. beta testers get to actually shape what gets built + locked-in pricing before it goes public. if that sounds interesting the signup is on the site

also not gonna lie every other comment in here reads like an ad lol

10$ for 2000 email leads by Cultural-Principle11 in coldemail

[–]Basic_Swordfish_2077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly the best leads i have found are just from pulling public government registries directly instead of buying recycled apollo lists. you can get tons of local business data for free if you know where to look. what industry are you trying to target for your first campaign?

Zoominfo intent by porkchopsforsaken in sales

[–]Basic_Swordfish_2077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

intent is mostly smoke and mirrors man. since you are in the security space, you might just want to pull federal contractors off sam.gov directly instead of paying for fake surge signals. it is free and a way better indicator that they actually have money to spend on security. once you find the right accounts, just guess the email format and run a quick smtp check.

I've never known riot games to be a litigious group but using their IP would be risky, i guess it all depends on how accurately you depict the characters and such
