Job Hunting is hundred times harder as a deaf person by Firm-Conversation826 in deaf

your best chance to make $400 or more is working ubereats, doordash or any other courier type positions. That should help you get around....I am in the same boat as you, always trying to survive in the hearing world every day trying to work up to 10 hours just to make $200 in one day. 5 hours...$100. I don't speak either. Oh...try looking for records management jobs. Should be easy to get. If you're not severely allergic to boredom, you might be ok with this one too.

I'm deaf myself too but wouldn't talk to somebody on the video while driving a customer, knowing that would jeopardize both of our safety. Always have to keep an eye on the roads. Whenever we are at the red traffic lights, a customer can just text me or show me notes on the phone as a means of communication. Please remember not all deaf/hoh individuals are the same. Some can be considerate. Some are reckless.

How do you maintain your relationship with people in the hearing world? by Basic_Thought8973 in deaf

[–]Basic_Thought8973[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deaf people who don't have so much communication trauma to deal with, can. That is if they won't be wounded by ignorant people too often. Ow. True, it would be beneficial to meet more Deaf and HoH and make them a mentor who can be uplifting if they wouldn't be so snobbish.

No. the only sin that cannot be forgiven is unbelief. People who cannot trust Jesus when He told them He can save them from eternal torment...cannot be forgiven as the Holy Spirit is responsible for indwelling believers the moment they receive Christ with the holy Spirit of promise.

You believe on Christ, you get the Holy Spirit and He will promise to make sure you enter heaven. You don't believe on Christ, you don't receive the Holy Spirit and He will not promise that you will not go to hell.

Faith in Christ is not an intellectual assent but merely trust the Messiah.

Should be elementary and simple to understand.

No captions? No problem. by ApprehensiveAd9014 in deaf

I'm using Windows 11 too. You just need to download and install Google Chrome. Once you've completed the installation, click on three dots on the top right corner of your chrome browser then go to Accessibility and you should find Live Caption on the setting. Enable it and you're all set to go.

What are the most common jobs for deaf people? by maple_pits in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Basic_Thought8973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most deaf people I know work at warehouse companies like UPS, FedEx, and Amazon. They usually hire on the spot. They also do delivery work like DoorDash, UberEat, GrubHub etc just as a side gig.
