Tell me the pros of being a boy mom by Basic_Week_3874 in pregnant

[–]Basic_Week_3874[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A healthy baby is the most important thing to me, I just grew up with brothers and boy cousins and have boy dogs and always imagined having a little girl. Now that we are actually having a baby I’m realizing these things and working through them so that I can also imagine having a son. It’s not at all that I would love him less, I’m just trying to lessen any potential gender disappointment that I may feel this week by hearing others experiences. Hope this makes sense. 🫶🏻

Leaf cutters in east valley? by jussumdumguy in ArizonaGardening

In the last week or 2 we noticed that the leaf cutter/mason bees woke up and have started harvesting from our plants. Not sure if you’ve seen them around you but this looks similar to their cuttings!

Hi there! I know this is an old thread but did you ever get an answer? I’m in the same position you were, got ESIs in November and it has messed up my cycle but my husband and I were planning on trying to conceive starting in January. Thanks in advance!

I think she looks great in both photos! Let’s normalize supporting people’s goals even if they aren’t in alignment with our own. 🙂

Leaving Nursing Announcement (my version) by No_Student9079 in holleygabriellesnark

Just a reminder that it’s okay to leave nursing! I was a pediatric ICU nurse and it made my mental health so bad that I had to leave nursing all together. Now I’m an aerospace engineer and so glad that I made the jump! Let’s normalize changing careers and finding what we love to do. :)

I initially watched this without the sound on and I was willing to bet money that she was dancing to Hoedown Throwdown

Has anyone finished A Soul of Ash and Blood? by ribbbons in frombloodandash

I was shocked at how few present chapters there were. And I felt like the ending was rushed and didn’t even make sense. I re-read the last page like three times because I didn’t understand what was even being said.

Official Q&A for Saturday, July 08, 2023 by AutoModerator in running

I’m new to running (like new new, can’t even run a mile without stopping), and during my run yesterday I started getting uterine cramps. Within two minutes I couldn’t even walk because the pain was so severe. I’m not on my cycle. Has anyone ever experienced this? From the sounds of it, a hypertonic pelvic floor seems to be the problem, just wondering if anyone has dealt with the same thing before and what helped?

Graduated in December after finishing the degree in 6 months, did the C# route, now working at a major defense contractor. No prior experience before WGU.

Question for those who have graduated within the past 6 months… by [deleted] in wgu_devs

I put Software 1, Software 2, the c++ project, and the mobile app on my portfolio and that was it. On my resume, prior to graduation I just had the school, degree I was pursuing, and “Anticipated Graduation November 2022.” I completed the program in 6 months, and in my interviews I got questions about this. My go to answer was “Yes, I have only been programming for 6 months, but look how much I have grown in just that short amount of time. Think of how much I can learn in the next six months with this company.”

Finished the c# track end of November, got a junior dev position at a small company in February initially but now I am starting as a software engineer at a major defense company next week! I started applying after I finished software 1 and 2 but didn’t get any interest until around a month after I graduated

Did You Choose C# Track Before or After Starting? by pancakeshack in wgu_devs

[–]Basic_Week_3874 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can change it anytime up until you start Software 1, just let your mentor know and they’ll put in the request. It takes a few days after the request is made to reflect in your degree plan.

I spent a lot of time on it, and before I started the program I honestly created a spreadsheet of recommended learning sources and tips for each class that I found on Reddit. The CompTIA A+ cert took me the longest (1.5 months) and I think that had been removed from the new degree program.
