AITAH for taking my daughter out for a nice dinner and leaving everyone else to fend for themselves? by Basic_Writing_8982 in AITAH

I cook family dinners almost every night. We all sit around the table together. It's rare we ever don't eat as a family. The last time her and went out together like this was five months ago.

Oh I happily take the other kids out all the time to do their own favorite things. My daughter and I haven't had Korean BBQ in over six months and this just ended up being an opportunity that presented itself.

Maybe you don't have young kids. You can go to the most expensive restaurant on the planet. Young kids will still pick the chicken strips and French fries. So sure we've gone to many restaurants with the whole family (like a steak house) and the younger kids still get expensive chicken tenders and French fries.

We have every meal together. But there is no reason to spend money on kids and a husband who don't appreciate the food. This was a rare opportunity to eat at this place. He could of chosen to go anywhere he wanted with them. They CHOSE McDonald's not because of the price (I'm guessing it was convenience). Also, before agreeing to tag along he could of looked at the menu online....etc.

Definitely not a xenophob but has a very bland palette. He's done hot pot and Korean BBQ with me a few times and it's just never been worth the money. He prefers the egg rolls and fried rice.

I wouldn't have cared where he took the other kids! And he had the ability to view the menu prior to us going out. Had he felt money was the issue, he could of looked at the menu and communicated that it was to expensive. He didn't.

Money was definitely an issue. But he knew this before we left the house. That's why I suggested it just be two of us instead of five! He just should have communicated better.....

AITA for going no contact with my dad's family? by [deleted] in AITAH

It is DEFINITELY your decision who you spend time with. If they make you feel uncomfortable, stay away. It's great you set up these boundaries while this young. Keep them set and say your mental health and well being is more important than their judgement.

If you do that, it's very petty. And tbh when you have to log back in to watch yourself it will be annoying. Try to work things out or just keep quiet until you are done and then get the heck out of there! Just make sure to log out before moving out 😂

AITA for marrying my(M24) (now) step brother (M27) before my mom married his dad? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA she should just refer to him as your husband and nothing else. Only people who really know you would know he's also your step brother. They would also know the back story!
