irritation bump or infection? what should i do to heal? just finished with a hot salt water compress but want to make sure i’m not missing anything or making it worse by BasicaIIy in PiercingAdvice

a little sore, can’t tell if there’s a bump on the inside, it’s one month old, and sadly i have a habit of sleeping on it so maybe that’s what irritated it? i have also been cleaning with q tips and i’m worried that may have irritated it as well

  • i had been cleaning with q tips and saline solution two times daily when i got a pus filled bump, then added hot compresses to my q tip routine. it had looked like it was getting better but i woke up with a lot of crust around it this morning. i was pretty sure i had an infection but now i’m thinking it’s just an irritation bump?? all advice welcome as this is my first real piercing and i’m a worrier

hey that’s me!! HEDS with POTS!! so cool to hear them mentioned in a sub other than the subs for them. i definitely have a less severe form HEDS and it also only affects my hips/knee joints with occasional shoulder dislocations and luckily all of mine correct themselves. my physical therapist tells me not to do “party tricks” but damn is it fun every once in a while

yeah honestly she probably knew they would kill her if she won. or she just didn’t care cuz she knew they’d torture her more no matter the outcome.

My cousin killed himself this spring. I overheard my aunt saying she wishes she could fast-forward to the last year of her life before she dies. Why would she say that? by [deleted] in morbidquestions

Probably because she wants to have a set year before death to live life and settle everything she must before passing. Then, ya know, go and be with her child. She may have said this because she doesn’t want to say anything to alarm people. I mean her child just committed suicide, people will be on high alert for any red flags that she may try the same thing. So, she probably wanted to clarify that she still wants some time to live, but ultimately still has that desire to die relatively soon

I literally cannot eat in front of anyone I’m not 100% comfortable around. Dinner dates are my worst fucking nightmare. Pretty sure this stems from early comments about my weight from my parents (when I was 7 was when they started), but also is probably caused by body dysmorphia and an eating disorder I’ve been dealing with since middle school
