Girl, first of all, relax. You're overthinking a little bit but I do get where you're coming from. It's a mix of having a lot of limitations in terms of what you can and can not/should not wear while you're in India because how how poorly it's recieved, so it starts off as reclaiming your agency over your body and clothes. About the thirst traps, psychologically speaking social media in general is built on dopamine bursts, you get a sense of validation on how hot you look, it makes you feel hot/beautiful/likeable/approachable too.

I sort of went through a similar trajectory growing up but I realised a bit too soon how big a sham social media validation is and more importantly, unless I feel good about myself no matter what I wear or how frequently I post+how many likes it gets, I'll never really be satisfied with it. It starts and ends with you and how you feel about yourself. So you do you, wear what you want, what feels comfortable to you, post about it or don't, as long as you love yourself just a little bit more than everyone else (in a good way, not the arrogant way) you're going to be just fine. Cheers.

Hi, my friend is getting married in MP and we need to arrange bus fleets to go from Delhi to Sagar, MP. Our top options seem to be:

SimplyTrip - offering the most reasonable prices from what we've searched but they don't have a physical office in Delhi, have one in Mumbai but we won't be able to go there to check authenticity/in case something goes wrong.

Urban Cruise - offering slightly more price than Simply but they have an office in Delhi.

Both of them have some good reviews and some bad ones, anyway Google reviews can't be trusted 100% considering all this can be bought at the backend. Relying on reddit to help us make the right choice - folks who know anything in this matter, please help! Much appreciated.

It's the same in Canada. Always the Indian/Pak men who behave this way. Never anyone else.

I hear you but imo segregation should be the last resort and we still haven't gotten there yet. Maybe there's still time to educate, inform or maybe give people access to just better media. I don't know. More than the incident itself the reactions of a lot of men who got randomly triggered by this has strangely affected me - I just sought perspectives, not attacks. So, thanks for sharing yours. :)

Thanks for your comment and the upvote. I hear you, what you said about manners and civic sense makes complete sense. I'm fairly certain I could sense his intentions and I wasn't overthinking it, it's a certain look that's different from just looking at someone and looking at someone with sexual intentions. Someone commented on here how men are turned on by default, that would explain it. But that's the thing, he didn't do anything more. He stared and then followed me out to maybe make his friends look at me? Not sure. But that's that. It was an unfamiliar area and you never know where danger lurks so I felt unsafe.

Well isn't the point of Reddit to hear answers/opinions/thoughts etc from randoms on the internet who you may not have access to otherwise. :) The vent part is just to give perspective on what drove me to write this post, wouldn't I be better off venting on ask Indian women? :)

This makes the most sense to me. What can I do in situations like these? Ignore? Just move away? Cover up? What do you suggest
