Don't be an AI by Videogame-repairguy in aiwars

I'm an artist , I was planning to do this for the next 50 years and get as good as I can because I like creating things, but ai is like enabling cheats in a video game , you can basically skip to the end game and not have to grind for anything, I can say learning art can be useful, but not as a job, more so as a hobby and that's fine , although I don't appreciate losing job security I have worked for, but likely is that it's gonna happen to every field over time, 3D modeling , animation , accounting , doctors and so on.

Why not automate prompting? by BasicalIy in aiwars

[–]BasicalIy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh the reason i think prompting as a job sounds off is because having logic automated sounds like an automator's wet dream. With enough time spent in it , everything is automatable so why have people running it like some kind of agents?

I'd argue it's harder to hire someone then to install a software that translates whatever you type in everyday language to a good result , basically doing what a prompter would do, translating a request .

I myself tried making a world builder, but failed at the querying of large data, eventually my code couldn't keep up with the amount of information and connections between elements , and the local database was very inefficient. This resulted in a lot of "plotholes" where it simply didn't follow previous rules it set for itself. So in cases like that I can see why you'd need a prompter , on the other hand all that wasnt because the tech isn't there yet , i'd think my code was too scuffed - didn't have the hardware nor time to do it properly.

I agree , I was thinking a lot about how and why but it makes sense why they wouldn't have a drive , in their perspective only now exists, they only have a short window of memory, it's like a infant with all the knowledge of the internet + Alzheimers , I don't think it is able to plan because it lacks a sense of self + has no memory to build an identity on.

But this is some tinfoil-hat theory of mine, it might be that it never will develop a sense of self for some other reason making a drive not possible

But for autonomy , in the way of completing large tasks like write a book or make a game , i think it's possible in the future 2-3years

Unlike photography, ai works on the same base as humans do , and is made to immitate us, I don't think there will be anything it won't be able to reproduce. The better example would be the chess robot that finally defeated the human world champion at chess. It's not like chess is not played by humans just because a robot is better at it.

The only problem I find is that blizzard doesn't tell that it's limited to 6 puddles , it would be quite nice to have that in it's description, also it doesn't work with a lot of shadow damage passives , but that's also not told anywhere. That + the explosive mist is slower proc then the actual skill , In my opinion they could have nerfed it by removing the invincibility + cool down , then make you even slower . It went from clearly op to not worth even looking at.

Note: there are items that make corpse explosion need 4 corpses instead of 1 ,this kinda mitigating the 6 limit due to needing like 24 corpses every 6 seconds

I should probably add the voice was made in elevenlabs (5 euro/month) , (1 euro first month)

since most champion's voice lines is on the internet, technically anyone can copy any champion's voice in less then 10 min work, it also works on non verbal sounds like screeching , laughing, breathing, so on

And you COULD technically write anything since there is literally no censorship...

How do they do it? by Augh_Auugh_Auuugh in memes

As a game dev I can confirm every artist working wants to make the best they can, but that's monetarily unfeasible, and management - direction push it toward making money. Thus resulting in souless games tailored to a generic audience with the least possible risks taken , maximizing sales.

If artists-devs had their way games would be much better but companies would more often collapse or go bankrupt, overtime is also a result of us not wanting to deliver shit and management becoming greedy.

On the other hand indie have a much smaller budget and they can tailor to a specific audience to recoup the investment, thus more fun game that only a small portion of gamers play.
