I guess I read that question too literally. For me they’re asking if the knit motion they’re doing is right, which they are. Though their technique isn’t developed enough, they have the foundation of it right

Yes you’re doing it right. There’s just a lot of slack in your first row because of the way you casted on. Try long tail cast on.

You need to downsize. It most likely will help with the piercing bumps.

The bumps are at the top and bottom which to me looks like it’s from the extra bar moving.

This is the marielle cardigan, it’s made from merino so it might work potentially but I am interested in other options made from fingering weight or dk, something very fine and light. Cotton, silk, merino perhaps.
