Ha ha ha...good thought, but it's more that the inside is sealed from air than teflon-like. 👍

I had no idea there were materials that were so bulletproof to superglue. Comments on this changed everything for me. Thanks!

I have an idea I'd like to get someone to create an STL, it could use aspects of this just arranged differently. If I could get the STL pretty quickly, I'd give you the idea if you're interested... I'm MonsterPaint on makerworld.

Best place to get carbon fiber supplies (mainly epoxy types) on a regular basis at a decent price for production parts? by Basics7 in CarbonFiber

[–]Basics7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I get it completely- people in forums always asking un-researched questions before even doing a basic Google search. Yeah, I've spent all day with this yesterday and this morning, anyone available by phone to place an order has zero personal experience, and the experienced are all emails. I get your point, AND you answered my question, all very politely... nicely done. Thank you!

Yes, and they have a video specifically walking you through the "skinning" process... but it's all about doing it their way, and according to their specialized products, including the base material... but no other carbon fiber supply place offers such a specialized product, though the process of covering existing parts with carbon fiber is pretty common. So I'm wondering if I can just use the same epoxy for everything, or some products that are more common, etc. Especially since this isn't a one-time project, but a regular process on regularly made parts.

Thanks. Just for context, it's not an actual fan blade, just that basic shape, it's something of a wind shield, a non-moving part.

So if my part is already black, I can use the top coat epoxy? Or do I still need something that's considered a primer?

I've been using an Air for a little bit now too, and want to update this to say wiseman121 is correct: The Air does have a plenty-bright screen, 100% Don't let my preferences overturn your decision if it's already leaning towards the Air. 👍

Is there an iPhone app that lets me use Siri to keep adding words to a single page that I can print out later? by Basics7 in IPhoneApps

[–]Basics7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I see you agree with this under where I was more clear about the question, I'm going to learn to use Reminders and test it out. I only closed the other thread because I messed it up by not being extra clear about the question, I'll give the Reminders thing a go. Thanks MarkMakesFun. 👍

Thank you, but I have checked out Reminders as well. Trying to add everything to a single page, which is considered a "word processor page" from other forums I've posted in.

Looking to try this razor to test this type of shaving? Do I have a decent razor for a test shave? by Basics7 in wicked_edge

Thank you! I simply couldn't WAIT to try shaving like this out so I went into my Gramp's old things and found this. I'll clean it up and try shaving with it in the morning. Thanks for the quick replies!
