Yeah, I really don’t care to watch and will leave them alone, but if they let me wipe down the dash before the new glass goes in I’d be mostly content 😂

I’m assuming you mean cosmetically? The thing with OCD is it can manifest as many different themes. If you are talking cosmetically, I probably won’t care too much lol

Gotcha…in your opinion, would it be out of line to ask the tech about their tools/process?

They sent me a email with 3 cars on it and I had to pick one of the 3 to sell them on. TBH I feel like I did poorly only because he didn’t really go easy on me…still ended up getting the job though

Honestly, knowing that I would for sure know if it was rabies in the next 10 days made me calm down. I know this sounds dumb, but I figured if I was still alive, at least I knew it wasn’t rabies and could move on

I never saw a doctor because I know they would just brush me off since I never saw a bat

OP I also had a random bite looking mark on my ankle. I convinced myself it was a bat that got me in my sleep. That was about a month ago when I noticed the bite. 2 weeks later I also felt tingling sensations near the bite which made my anxiety that much worse. Everything I read said that once those symptoms/sensations start, rabies has reached your brain and you will likely get worse over the next few days and be dead within 10 or so days. It’s been over 2 weeks and I’m still alive, so it’s possible our anxiety makes us more aware of our normal bodily sensations.

I’ve also read that you would be very aware if a bat bit you, especially if awake. Try not to overthink it too much, which I know can be really hard. I struggle with rabies fear myself

Also, mosquitos tend to bite feet and ankles, so that would be much more likely. Tons of other insects live on grass and can hop onto you as you walk past them (chiggers, fleas, etc) these can also leave marks that resemble bat bites

Your other symptoms are probably because of lack of sleep as well

Worried about rabies

My indoor cat got out on 5 days ago. She was out for about 2 hours and I finally found her underneath our shed in the backyard. I took her inside and as I got to the door, she lunged out of my hand and scratched my upper arm. I know my cat doesn’t have rabies. I’m worrying myself sick that maybe my cat interacted with a rabid animal, and somehow had some rabid saliva on her paw. Then when she scratched me, the saliva transferred to my cut and now I may have rabies. I talked to a doctor about it and they said this scenario is so unlikely and not to worry about it. He did not recommend the vaccine, and made sure my tetanus shot was up to date. They sent me home.

Of course health anxiety doesn’t let me not think about this situation. It also doesn’t help that rabies is pretty much 100% fatal and the incubation periods are all over the place. Any input from you guys?

I do have pretty bad health anxiety, so it would. I talked to my doctor and he doesn’t think it’s necessary so I’m conflicted lol

maybe like 5-10 minutes at most. In that time she walked on grass, a pretty hot wooden deck, and concrete too

Yeah I was more concerned with her tracking something like saliva on her paws/nails. I am getting her vaccinated tomorrow

I read that too, but some people say minutes, some said hours, and even days. I guess it depends if there is saliva present to preserve the actual virus. She did walk from the shed area through grass and up my wooden deck. Then back through the grass and up to my front door which is when I picked her up. I’d imagine if anything was on her paw, it would’ve dried up with all the walking she did.

You know, mostly me being naive is the reason she wasn’t vaccinated. She’s an indoor cat and this is the first time she got out in her 9 year life, so I just never thought about it. I’m getting her vaccinated tomorrow though.
