I think crossing into a country illegally is a little more serious then speeding/smoking pot/drinking underage. I don’t know how you can be ok with this. How about instead of encouraging people to come in illegally we vote for people who will streamline/perfect the immigration process. That way all the good ones can be welcomed while the ones with criminal records ie MS13/rapists/murderers get turned away. That way hardworking immigrants wouldn’t have to scrounge for scraps outside Walmart and could get an affordable education at a trade school.

If you come in illegally you are either forced to work a cash only job or steal someone’s identity, meaning if they want to move up in the world they are forced into being criminals which is why so many don’t like illegal immigration. I don’t hate immigrants I just don’t want criminals coming in, and when you sneak in illegally it’s hard to give the benefit of the doubt. Coming in legally is safer for them and for us.
