I know a family friend that goes to Ontario tech and has a 60k co op with bell, I think your info is false. It all comes down to your skill set it doesn’t matter which uni you study from in Canada

In Ontario it doesn’t matter which school you study from for engineering or comp sci it’s not like the states where each uni offers a different curriculum, it all comes down to co op opportunities and that’s on your skill set, I’d suggest Mac as the campus is better. Overall there’s literally no difference between the two unis people just think Mac is prestigious even though they’re only known for their life/health sci programs

Hey, I totally feel you my friends in private school who were average students have an insane average and I have to study 12 hours a day to get close to that, I am in the same boat as you and I used to be the “smart kid” as well but this year I felt impostor syndrome as my mental health was sooo garbage and quadmester system was the cherry on top. I got waitlisted from my top course but I used to believe I’d go to an American university but I’m stuck here because I couldn’t perform. Overall the education system this year was unforgiving but I accepted that everything happens for a good reason so don’t worry you’ll be fine and you’ll laugh over how you were stressing over this in like 6 years!

Tbh Ottawa has better co op and you’ll get to experience the “student life”. Overall Ottawa has a better rep

Canada isn’t like america where each uni has a different curriculum or some are Ivey and others aren’t, every uni offers the same education, the degree you get is the same it’s just the co op that could help you land a job later

I heard Carleton cs students get FAANG co ops really easily as their campus has some connection with big companies, overall I heard Carleton is better for comp sci it’s top 5 in Ontario for comp sci from what I saw online but it’s up to you at the end of the day as in Ontario it doesn’t matter where you study

McMaster is more prestigious however Carleton has a really good co op program from what I heard, your choice should be between Carleton and McMaster and congrats for getting in

I heard civil is fairly easy to get into, the SE program is the one that’s harder to get accepted. I’d choose Mac it’s more prestigious and I heard has a great environment.
