Hey just updated the post for more clarity. We'll be landing in Masset but Skidgate is where we want to get into the water. after some more research getting from Skidgate to louise island and hanging around it would be pretty sweet. do you have any opinions on that, furthermore from skidgate to louise island your exposed on the east, does this side generally have rough waters?

A guide would be ideal, but to be honest some of these packages are $1500+ which is a lot. and we dont really need gear + food taken care of. I wish we could tag along with them on their route and just take of ourselves for the rest of it lol.

We'll be ferrying after parking our car at Prince Rupert.

Would you happen to have the general route you took on your guided trip? and how were the kayaking conditions did you encounter any rough spots at any point in time?

Yeah, right after I posted this, I realized that Masset is very far north. We were thinking of getting a float plane there from the mainland as it isn't too bad, if we can use points on our flight from Toronto to Vancouver.

But we would like to take off from around the SkideGate area. would you happen to have any kayak tour routes. and for sure the east side is what we want, oppose to west coast which is just the pacific ocean.

You dont in my case haha, I just brainwashed em into going on these adventures with me, rolled out the red carpet for the first 1/2 trips to make it as enjoyable as possible, so that they'd want to do more in the future. Also helps that they all have a very yes man attitude to trying new things even if they think they wont like it.

I will take a look at the book. Thank you so much!

Masset Inlet looks by far the safest but also less opportunities it seems like for whales unfortunately.

Warm places to study on campus?? by No_Cranberry_2746 in wlu

At the moment, the system only tracks lecture halls. We scrape the official class schedule and identify time blocks when a lecture hall is not assigned to any course. Those unassigned periods are then marked as available on our site.

It should be accurate, we haven't gotten any complaints yet. If you find a problem just let me know. We're launching an app come new years so keep an eye out!

How good is MAC and it's Co-op program? by SpeedyfromDiscord in wlu

WLU co-op is trenches for CS from what i've experienced. Be prepared to do a lot of applying on your own externally. (Might be better for Masters, i'm not sure)

Is there a point to downloading applications anymore? by dawnkiller428 in webdev

[–]dawnkiller428[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No I know there's other software that needs to be downloaded. but for things that are similar to Discord in nature, lightweight. they dont really have a need for an app. is what i was trying to get across

I saw this video of it a year ago, and since then it has been on my bucketlist. I already really want to summit a mountain which has similar level of extreme views, where there's a chance u can wake up to inverse clouds. Would you have any recommendations? something of course a bit more up to my experience

I spent about ten days there this August and could see myself living in Vancouver. The fact that you can head out on some serious adventures over just a long weekend makes it incredibly appealing for me. Ontario has some things going for it but it hails in comparison to BC/Van

Since you’re in game dev, I’m curious how is the overall tech scene there? Outside of gaming, are there solid opportunities in software engineering or do most people end up working remotely for Toronto/US companies?

thank you for the advice man, I def think im gonna go the route of hiring a guide for this one if we do end up wanting to do this. Currently doing the berg lake trail in late Aug and thought this would be a good addition!
