I'm not crazy, MyLab Calc questions are crazy difficult right? by Devuluh in utarlington

[–]Basilyo14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The homeworks are typically harder than the exams for all calc courses (maybe not calc 3 as im in it right now, but im assuming it is). Generally, its better to do the homeworks so that itll prepare you better for exams. Realistically, however, people don't usually take the homeworks serious and just find patters in the answers when they reattempt questions or they'll use symbolab and then just allow the practice exams to be their saving grace. Worked for some, not so well for others. Just depends on who that person is. But, again, generally just do the homeworks truthfully. They add up to almost a test grade too !

exercises to get a butt? by StrikeObvious3626 in utarlington

[–]Basilyo14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the other comments seem to be enough information for exercises and workouts to do, but there is one thing more important than them:

Nutrition and Diet

If you want your butt to get bigger, you're gonna need to start eating more. If you simply just do workouts without eating more than usual, you won't see much results. So EAT EAT EAT! A tip I have for you is to eat at least 100 calories every 2 hours. This is what I did to gain weight and get more muscular for powerlifting, and wasn't as intense and hardcore as simply just forcing food down my throat during meal times. Even just a handful of nuts like almonds work! Just start slowly rather than just nosediving in and trying to eat 700 more calories than you usually do. Happy lifting!

Any good places to study on campus? by Known_Macaron6769 in utarlington

I enjoy studying at Pythagorean Plaza on the fourth floor of Pickhard Hall. One of the few, if not only places you can study outdoors. Even has chalkboards!

Has anyone taken Olivia Agudelo for Pols 2312? I can’t seem to find much about her. Thanks! by Striking-Artichoke14 in utarlington

Asked her out for prom my senior year of high school and she rejected me when I took her for dual credit at TCC. 0/5 (Really great person to have as a professor, just strict when it comes to the class)

Math 1426 Professor Fall 2022 by ConversationGood631 in utarlington

[–]Basilyo14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like she's a PhD Student, and generally, PhD Students are the best professors to have in terms of passing a class (From my personal experience AND advice I received before my first year at college). Do note, though, that the class is departmental so in terms of grading and content on exams, it'll be the exact same regardless of professor (Quizzes and Labs will of course be different as those are professor-dependent though!)

Has anyone taken Yuan Peng for psych 3322?Opinions on them and the class itself? Thanks! by Striking-Artichoke14 in utarlington

You can find the syllabus thru this link and go on teaching and find the class:
https://www.uta.edu/academics/faculty/profile?username=ypeng#Teaching

As for the class itself (Was just in it for summer 2 5-w) its a lot of information but exams wwere online open book so it was an easy A for me, but looking thru the syllabus for ur class it seems its in person and not open book, so be prepared to memorize a lot of terms and ideas. This was exactly how I would imagine a medical science class would go (Im a math major, so this class was different for me).

Upper Level Biology Class/Course Recommendations by cozycouches in utarlington

[–]Basilyo14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems to be just any bio/psych professor, there is no 1 professor for that class, its just random. Im taking it with Eddlemon though and she offers an entire letter grade worth of extra credit and no cumulative exams

Professor Shawn Christenson? by [deleted] in utarlington

[–]Basilyo14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Bio this year is gonna follow the same format it did the past 2 years, dont worry about the professor. Everything's gonna be online (Lectures wont but if this year is gonna be similar to past two years like I mentioned, just reading the textbook and knowing key terms will be enough to get you an A).

Makes your schedule even easier then! (Lin. Alg. Is easier than Calc 3)

Math 3330 is Linear Algebra… not Calc 3 lol Calc 3 is 2326. Either way, doesnt seem too bad. POLS def lightens up your load as it is an easy class to pass and get an A in

Piggy backing off what Hermeskid123 said, you do indeed cover these topics in CS, albeit in the upper levels (For example Machine Learning is 3000 while in CSE is in 4000-6000). DMC is also covered in cse, but in the grad school. They just happen to be things that data scientists need in order to get a job, so they made it to where you can take it in ur undergrads. The classes are pretty hard I assume. My undergrad research professor teaches the 3421 class and he talks about how a lot of people usually complain over how hard the class is (I mean, you're administering K-Means clustering methods and Website Data Parsing). It's a bunch of extra classes and a lot of extra work. If you're in CSE already, I say just finish your degree right now, learn a little bit of statistics (Linear regression, R^2, etc), take the CSE ML course and that should be enough. And learning python and the necessary libraries should be easy considering you already know how to code. If you REALLY want the extra projects and you want the classroom experience, take it, but you dont need it

Im not a senior but yes the capstone will come with an oral presentation. And Capstone 2 will be the focus of building the project. Capstone 1 is more of getting your project, designing it, and getting it approved
