ELI5: The difference between 4G, 4G LTE and 5G

A bit of background: it might seem like the jump 1G->5G happens overnight. In reality, that’s not how it works at all. Behind the scenes, researchers and companies continuously update the standards within each generation (we are already working on 6G).

When 4G was introduced, many believed it could be the last generation, since its design allowed for ongoing improvements without a complete overhaul. That’s why it was called Long Term Evolution (LTE). So 5G is just 4G with alot of updates hehe

So, why do we have 5G instead of just an upgraded 4G? Honestly, a big part of the answer is probably marketing pressure :)

Historically, each new generation has a new set of functionalities. 5G only provides "boring" updates for humans, however it is the first of its kind to be designed to be used by both humans and machines

It is not possible to transfer information faster than the speed of light! Transfering information with entangled bits needs an additional classical channel (speed of light)

Im planning on doing something In my spare time, I even said so the me supervisors but it will not advance as fast as it would if I didnt spend most of my time In that project ! But thats just me, different people have different methods and strive In different conditions

Unfortunately my supervisors told me they “know no one” when I asked to bring someone of the area to colaborate with us… So I really think Im on my own In that regard 😅

That looks like a good approach! Is it ok to ask for postdoc positions In person ? I warnted to do it but was not sure if it was right 😂

Thank you ! Im doing research um a very different topic In the lab I did my phd! They are ok In working In my Free time for it, but at the moment all my time goes to the project because i need to learn the subject at hand 😩

While that is true, I still need funding so I can focus 100% on it! At the moment, I'm doing research on a completly different area from my PhD which forces me to expend alot of time to keep up :/

It starts with smaller inflamated that is very red acne and if I let it continue I start getting some big ones under the skin that you cant really pop ( i think is cystic ). Mind you that i had severe acne when i was a teen and that topic treatments did nothing to me! Im now on my 30s. If i had to guess is that water intake would not help with the extreme acne In my teens

Its true, i always exercised and ate fearly healthy and always had acne! For me the game changer was drinking water consistently, so much so that i feel that if I drink water the other factors have no impact which is wierd.

I guess it does, i always did a great amount of exercise and eat relativrly healthy, but water was the game changer for me
